The word of the week around here seems to be “pimp.” First, we had the new TokyoFlash Pimp watches, then we had the Atari 2600 pimped -out Buick. Now we have this NES console which was apparently seen backstage after a Sneaker Pimps’ concert.
Apparently, there’s a complete Nintendo Entertainment System stuffed inside of this Nike tennis shoe…

The master of console mods, Benjamin Heckendorn (aka “Ben Heck”) is at it again. This time he’s created a portable that combines an NES system and a Atari 2600 console, and crammed them together into one compact package.
Like a Frankenstein’s monster, the NESTari portable can play cartridges from either Atari’s or Nintendo’s classic 8-bit systems…

It was bound to happen sooner or later. A developer going by the screen name Kaisersoze has successfully ported an initial build of MAME to run on Apple’s iPhone. The iPhone version is based on the SDL version of the emulator, which was originally designed to run on Ubuntu Linux…

Sure, there are plenty of companies making arcade cabinets these days, but I’ve never seen one quite like this. The cabinet is translucent and gives you a light show while you get your game on…
