The printers measure just 15.4″ W x 13.5″ D x 10.4″ H and weigh less than 30 lbs each. They feature a unique toner system which minimizes the size of the printer as well as cutting down on the noise of mechanical toner systems in competitors’ printers. The drawback to this system is that it does reduce the number of prints you can get per toner refill, though.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to print color documents such as flyers or presentations, a color laser is usually your best choice. Color laser printers generally run faster and more cost-effectively than inkjets, but photographic quality usually isn’t as good. Output speed on these little printers is rated at up to 17ppm black-and-white and up to 4ppm in full color. Resolution is rated at 2400×600 dots per inch. The printers are duty rated at 24,200 pages per month; try throwing that at an inkjet and get back to me.

Pricing and release dates haven’t been confirmed yet, but I’ve heard rumors of a sub-$300 street price for the CLP-300 and just a little more for the networked version (the CLP-300N.)
