Made by collectible eraser maker Gomu, the set is made of 8 erasers, “including five that aren’t found anywhere else.” Of course they don’t mention which of those five are the rare ones, which will keep me up all night. Meh, it’s probably the four lightsabers plus the X-Wing. Or one of the lightsabers plus the other four. No wait. Seriously which of these are the rare ones?!

The set also comes with a 13″ lightsaber box. I agree – it makes no sense, and yet the thing exists:

The guys at Gentle Giant used digital models from The Clone Wars animated series to create this life-sized droid, sculpting, then painting it for you to enjoy in your home.

R2 isn’t going to be shipping until February 2012, but you can pre-order him over at Entertainment Earth now for the low, low price of $1079.99 (USD). Hopefully for that price he won’t have a bad motivator unit.

Futurama Collectible Mini Figures are available for $9.99 (USD) each at ThinkGeek and they come blind-boxed, meaning that – like a box of chocolates – you never know which one you’re going to get. It’s kind of like trading cards. Since the characters look like they’ve been baby-fied, they kind of reminds me of the Muppet Babies – or Future Babies.

Two series of 6-inch-tall figures are set to ship this Fall, with September’s Series 1 featuring Rick Grimes (looks like he found his bag of guns), Michonne, a Zombie Lurker and a Zombie Roamer. The second series ships in November and includes an alternate version of Grimes, Daryl Dixon, a Zombie Walker and a Zombie Biter. The toys each have articulating joints and the zombies even have some removable limbs and other body parts. And from the looks of the early prototype of Michonne that MTV’s Splash Page managed to dig up, she’s got a sword and a drill on hand for plenty of brutal zombie-killing action.

All eight figures are available for pre-order over at Entertainment Earth for $14.99 (USD) each, or in sets of 4 for $55.99. While you wait, you can check out more pics over on Facebook. Personally, I wish they would make one with Merle Dixon with a removable hand.

One of the more interesting items is a page from a Playboy calendar that flew on the moon mission as a prank. The naughty bits are blocked out above to make it safe for work, but the full version is up for auction. There are also all sorts of interesting items that are being auctioned. One of the coolest is an American flag that went to the moon with Neil Armstrong on Apollo 11.

The minimum bid for that flag, which is mounted on a card and autographed by Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins, is set at $2,500. That centerfold will cost you at least $1,000. The instrument panel from a training device will set you back at least $1,000.

This perfect likeness of  the sexy bikini-clad Leia strangling the life out of Jabba is available now as a handpainted polystone diorama. The 14.5″ (W) x 7.5″ (H) x 9″(D) sculpture is incredibly detailed, and if you squint real hard, you see that Leia is even strangling him with a tiny little chain.

While the individual cans can be found in Japan for about $2.50 to $4 (USD) each, the guys over at NCSX are now bringing the full 16-can limited-edition collectible into the U.S. for the whopping price of $165.90. That’s largely thanks to the cost of shipping this heavy mutha’ across the globe.

I’m just gonna order a 6-pack of Chocobos and call it a day – maybe a whole case.

Created in celebration of Pac-Man’s impending 30th birthday (boy, I feel old), these limited-edition series of Zippo lighters from Banpresto includes shiny, butane-filled versions of Pac-Man, Galaxian, Xevious and Dig Dug. Each one features the pixelated likenesses of the classic 8-bit games – although I have to say I like the tiny little tactile Galaxians the best. Although I would argue that Galaga was the true classic. And while I don’t smoke, I’ll buy just about anything with Dig Dug on it, so I’m sold.

They sell for ¥8400 (appx. $93 USD) each, so I guess I’ll have to skip meals this week so I can afford one. For now, I’ve only found these in Japan, but hopefully somebody will export these for all to enjoy. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

Each handmade dragon starts out as a piece of tin plate, which is cut into pieces and then fashioned to become the dragon’s parts. Once the parts are done, they are soldered by hand and fitted with a “nickel-plated brass boiler double-acting Wilesco steam engine”. After being painted and embellished by hand, Tucher + Walther’s deliverymen ride on horseback, and sometimes even walk to customers’ houses to deliver the dragon. Kidding.

The steam powered dragon is actually a collectible – only 100 units were made. I’m sure you know the formula by now: Handmade + limited edition =  freaking expensive. The tin dragon sells for $1,500 USD. That’s right, a steam-powered piece of tin that costs more than the Wii + Xbox 360 + the PS3 + DSi +PSP combined. I’m sure your kid will like this dragon even less when you tell him that.

But if you’re little one is interested in mechanical stuff or if you’re into this sort of thing then go ahead, go to pucciManuli and let the dragon puff your money away.

Turns out that this awesome R2-D2 compact refrigerator was apparently made back in 2002 as a promotional prize for an Attack of the Clones contest held at 7-11 Stores in Japan. Word has it that just 1000 of these rare refrigerators were ever made, and now this one can be yours (assuming you’ve got the dough). Even rarer than the elusive Google mini fridge, this is definitely a serious über-geek collectible.

The guys over at ToyEast managed to get their hands on one of these rarities, and it’s in pristine condition. Priced at $1070 USD, it’s not exactly cheap, but if you’re a serious Star Wars fan, you might not be able to pass this up. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, I could overdraw my my checking account for this one.
