Behold! Every PS2 Game Ever Made in One Collection and Unopened

I could never be like PlayStation collector Ahans76 is. I buy plenty of video games and still have a number of PS2 games floating around from back in the day. Generally, I would have the games open to check out before we left the parking lot of wherever I bought it. Not our pal Ahans76 though, this dude bough the games and took them home, slipped them into a bookcase and just left them.

Every one of the games you see here is an official first-party game with the official PlayStation hologram to prove it. The collector says he bought a bunch of the games when stores were going out of business to keep costs down. Right now, he believes his collection has one of every single game made for the system.

That is 1850 games, not counting variants of the games. The collector says the hardest game in the collection to find was a sealed copy of Moto GP. The most expensive was Wizardry: Tale Of The Forsaken Land, which he ended up buying for $300 on eBay. The collection isn’t for sale, but I wonder how much it would be worth though in one giant lot.

Complete Virtual Boy Collection on eBay Costs 32 Nintendo 3DSes

That’s right folks! For the low low price of £5000 (appx. $8,200 USD), you can get the definitive Nintendo Virtual Boy collection! Proof that trash turns to treasure if you give it enough time. And who wants a partial collection of junk? Either you have none or you have the whole shebang.

Seriously though, if you’re a video game collector, seller macfamily_2007 has quite the cache. This collection is so complete that it has not one, not two, not three, but four Virtual Boy consoles – 2 different US versions and 2 different Japanese versions. It also includes a variety of accessories, and of course all of the Virtual Boy games ever released, including the demo games.

Macfamily_2007 claims that if no one buys the collection by April 9 he’ll take it down and may never ever part with it again. So if you’re interested in snapping up this mother load, head on to eBay now. Unfortunately, macfamily_2007 is not willing to ship the collection outside of the UK, but if you can spare $8,000+ for this then surely you can find a way to work around that.

Futurama Complete DVD Collection Comes in a Bender Head

If you haven’t heard, the new season of Futurama just started on Comedy Central. In last night’s episode, Mom Robots released a new and updated version of their eyePhone, a phone that is pushed right into your eye! To celebrate this insanity, all of the seasons of Futurama have been collected in a robot head, which is Bender’s. (Although surprisingly not President Nixon’s head in a jar!)

I stopped watching The Simpsons a long time ago, but I have always enjoyed the craziness of Futurama. The show doesn’t have any pretenses to teach moral lessons, which is what I really disliked in The Simpsons after a while. It’s just always been a bit more edgy – and with more geek appeal.

It’s great to see this show on another network after Fox canceled it. Anyway, if you haven’t seen the show before this season, you should get this DVD package which will get you totally caught up to speed on the antics of Bender, Leela, Fry, Dr. Zoidberg and the whole Planet Express crew. The collection sells for $105 (USD) over at Amazon.

I’m starting to think that the only reason the PSP exists is because some Sony executive’s kid nagged him for a portable version of Monster Hunter. Where the games at Sony? Even Famicom owners have it better than us! There are a busload of games for their console still for sale! Akihabara-based Mandarake are selling a complete retail set of all Famicom games sold from 1983 until 1984 1994. That’s a lot of ugly cover art.

The FAMIKONFURUKONPURITOSETTO (Thanks a lot Google Translate) can be yours for the low, low price of ¥650,000 ($7,300 USD). If you’re thinking, “Who the hell’s going to buy that btw my PC costs twice that lolz”, think again. The comments at gameSniped go like this: “You have no idea how tempted I am to use my tax return to buy that. Who needs a new roof anyway?” Another commenter: “Roof’s are for p***ies! Do it!”
