The Chewbacca one is my favorite with the stormtrooper in the bottom corner translating to sign language. If you read sign language let us know if that trooper is actually signing something or just making hand motions.

The little kid under that mask has been unveiled as one Max Page, a 6-year old. The little guy has been in acting for a while already and has appeared in The Young and the Restless. Max has a congenital heart defect as well called Tetralogy of Fallot, but he had that issue fixed as an infant and now uses a pacemaker. His docs say Max can lead a normal and healthy life with proper care.

It’s cool to see the little dude that was under the mask for that commercial, my kids loved it too. My daughter still thinks she can make my wife’s Ford start by saying the magic word since I cranked it with the remote start while she tried to say abracadabra. As ridiculous as the fake GTA was, the commercial freaked me out. It’s unbelievably dumb, but kids, this really was how we rolled:

While I really like the idea of using something like this as an alarm clock, I’ve always been worried that the brightness of an LCD screen would keep me from sleeping. Hmm, sleep or tech gadgets. That’s a tough one for me. I guess I’d have to go with the gadgets.

The new PopCatcher MusicDock MD-601 is a portable MP3 player and a standalone FM-radio dock that can capture FM broadcasts to MP3, commercial-free. The dock automatically discerns music from talk and commercials, then records only the music to the MP3 player. Tracks are cleanly extracted in 192 kbps format, and can be easily transferred to your PC or other media player. The PopCatcher costs roughly $214 USD and is well worth a look for DRM-haters everywhere.

According to this review on Scandanavian tech site, Prylfeber, the system is reported to work as advertised, although it doesn’t provide an easy way to automatically assign track information.
