Master modeler and modder Maciel Barreto conceptualized this robot PC as a war-damaged ‘bot, with guts and wires hanging out of its metallic body.

Maciel spent months building his MORPHIUS (yeah, I know it’s supposed to be spelled “m-o-r-p-h-e-u-s”) robot computer case, and from the looks of these pics it was well worth the wait.

Each detail of the body was hand-carved in clay to produce a silicone mold. He then created the final shell from fiberglass and resin and finished it with automotive paints.

The intricately painted case is part of Cooler Master’s high-end CSX series. The series is a result of the collaboration between the case building talent at Cooler Master, and the masters of PC paint jobs at Smooth Creations.

The line includes a number of beautiful custom-embellished PC cases, but the VW bus is my personal favorite. Cooler Master CSX cases range in price from $899 to $1299.
