Well, anyone, but a Wookiee. I’ve never personally seen a Wookiee wearing a shirt. That goes for Ewoks too.

These cufflinks are officially licensed Star Wars merchandise, so you can rest easy knowing that you are helping to fund a new flannel shirt for George Lucas or supporting a future re-edit of the movies. Choose which side you are with. The Rebels or the Empire. Business suits are boring, so why not geek things up a little?

They’re made from rhodium-plated metal with enameled details, and are available from Amazon for $59.95 a pair.

Tetris is one of those classics that will always be around in one form or another. It’s available on the NES, the Game Boy, nearly every other console, and now your wrists. These officially-licensed accessories will compliment your shirt sleeves with just the right amount of geekiness.

You get the “J” and “T” shapes. Too bad you can’t drop more from each shirt sleeve and play a game on your arms, but I’m sure that someone is working on that dream. We might need a special shirt for that, though.

These official Tetris cufflinks are available now for about $14(USD) from Firebox. After wearing them for that special occasion you will likely feel a sudden urge to play the game again and try to beat your high score.

Last year we featured a pair of flash drive cufflinks. Luxury cufflink maker Ravi Ratan ups the ante this year with an even geekier pair of fasteners, perfect for those of you who are known by your loved ones as Support… Tech Support. Not only are these linkers of cuffs a pair of 2GB flash drives, they can also act as WiFi hotspots.

If like me, you thought that the cufflinks would give you a mobile hotspot on their own, prepare to be disappointed. You have to plug either of them to a computer that’s connected to the Internet before it can create a network. You do know you can do this for free with software like Connectify already, right?

It would have been awesome if they worked like the MiFi and could turn a person into a walking wireless network. You’ll surely be a hit at parties. People will flock to you so they can go online and post about this dude who has a Wi-Fi hotspot on his wrists. Eh, I guess they’re still useful, but I’m just not sure if they’re worth the price – Cufflinks.com is selling them for $250 (USD) a pair.

The design of the cufflinks that a man dons tells a lot about his personality. For example, the Bike Cufflinks are obviously intended for bikers and cyclists. The Flash Drive cufflinks are for the nerdier and geekier men who aren’t ashamed to where their geekiness on their sleeves. The fool-proof Left/Right cufflinks, on the other hand, remind the <del>idiot</del> wearer which is his right arm and which is his left.

And then there are the LED cufflinks called the iCufflinks that want to add a bit more light and sparkle to your cuffs.

When you put your PC on standby or hibernate your laptop, you see the power button blinking a gentle, pulsating light every few seconds or so. And now you can have that exact same thing going on your cuffs with the iCufflinks (which get their glowing light pattern based on Apple products).

The iCufflinks are an open-source hardware project by Phil Torrone. Each cufflink is made with a custom aluminum power button, a small circuit board that controls the pulsing of the button, and a battery. Since the project is open-source, the schematics and code to control the blinking can all be downloaded from GitHub.

If, however, you’d rather skip through the constructing part, then you can purchase a pair of the iCufflinks from Adafruit for $128 (USD).

We have seen our share of geeky cufflinks around here, like the USB cufflinks a while back. I personally have no need for cufflinks. The last time I held a set of cufflinks was in the late 80′s when my cousin got married, and I didn’t know what they were. If you have the need for cufflinks and you like bikes, we found your set.

These cufflinks are simply called the Bicycle Cufflinks, and they have a sprocket on one side and a crank with a pedal on the other. They remind me of a game piece from Monopoly. The things will link your cuffs nicely with a bit of geek flare.

They are made by GothamSmith using a 3D printing process using powdered steel and bronze. Three different finishes are offered, and they will ship in June. Other than the antique looking steel here, you can get a pair that has a silver finish and a pair in gold color. The price for the cufflinks is $59 (USD), but the first batch is already sold out.

Looking for sleek, slightly geeky cufflinks? You know Etsy is the place to go if you’re looking to subtly show off your proclivities while dressed in your best. And with these cufflinks, you can announce your allegiance in the console wars without messing up your look.

I think what I like best about these cufflinks over some of those we’ve seen before is the fact that they’re thin and flat, and even a little dark. From a distance, they’ll just look like plain ol’ cufflinks. Sneaky.

Of course, if you want to be a little more obvious, you can try these other Xbox-inspired cufflinks, also from the CufflinkConnections store.

Yeah, slightly more obvious there… but not as obivous, as, say, Star Wars minifig cufflinks–which are also available from the same store. Maybe it should be named RandomCufflinkConnections. Or maybe I should stick to blogging, ’cause my store-naming skills are not so strong.

Next time you need to go to a semiconductor semi-formal (see what I did there?), you might want to grab a pair of these clever geeky cufflinks made from old circuit boards. But unlike those shiny new 2010 Olympic medals, you can actually tell that these were upcycled from old circuitry.

Created by jewelry artist Amanda of the eponymous Beadwork by Amanda, these circuit board cufflinks are the perfect gift for the nerd who has everything. Assuming they have a tuxedo or dress shirt in their closet of course. And one of these doesn’t count.

Each set features a one-of-a-kind pattern, but you can specify different circuit board colors including green, dark green, red or blue, as well as whether you want round or square ‘links. Each circuit is set into either brass bezel cups and then covered with a durable resin to protect them from wear.

Amanda makes a variety of unique circuit board jewelry, including pendants, keychains and money clips over on her Etsy shop. The circuit board Cufflinks sell for $25 (USD) a pair – just a little more than that tuxedo t-shirt set you back.

[Thanks for the tip, Jay!]

You’ve been stealing glances at each other the whole night. All you see is that hot little number with the shiny red dress, everything else is black and white. She finishes her drink, and sashays off to the terrace, the light bouncing off her hips as they sway. You adjust your tie and follow her. You reach her side just as she’s putting a cigarette in her mouth. You twirl your right hand and snap with the left. A modest but firm flame appears on your wrist. Your eyes meet and reflect the flame as she lights up. She inhales for half a second, blows smoke for 3 more, puts her lips next to your ear and whispers, “Douche.”

I mean come on! Who else aside from MacGyver can pull off a get-up involving mini lighter cufflinks? Even James Bond in the 70s would’ve had laser beam cufflinks. Richard Dean Anderson, the cufflinks are sold by YougNeek at Etsy for $40 (USD). They’re currently sold out, so you might want to use your charms to wrangle a pair off of YougNeek. Or better yet, take a good look at the cufflinks and then go make your own.

I love tiny pendants, cufflinks, barrettes, and other small, innocuous ways of geeking-up an outfit, so Plastic Paradox’s Etsy storefront is, for me, pretty much the place to be. But, really, could any Halo fan resist these Master Chief cufflinks?

You could get away with those almost anywhere. Does anyone really spend that much time studying your cufflinks, unless you make a point of showing them off? See, they’re subtle yet showy–in the right moments.

But there’s all kinds of stuff to be found in the store, from mainstream to the more obscure, to the absolutely adorable… and by that, I mean these moogle earrings:

If you have a semi-geeky favorite franchise, it’s likely there’s something related to it in this store.

When I saw these Batman-inspired cufflinks, I thought, man! Too bad I have no reason to buy cufflinks for anyone. Platinum/rhodium cufflinks are nice enough, but when they mark you out as a regular dude operating at super capacity, you know they’re awesome.

Unfortunately, they’re only available at Bruce Wayne prices: these cufflinks are about $84 (USD) over at Cufflinks2Wear.

Well, friends, in this time of economic hardship, we’re here for you. Check this out: all of the awesome at a quarter of the price!

These cufflinks, available from finkstudio’s Etsy shopfront, are only $20 bucks! They’re not platinum (silver plated), but they’re still pretty nice.

We’re all about alternatives around here.

He hilariously notes that “…if mario doesn’t get his princess (who seems to be castle hopping, maybe she’s the player and mario is getting played) well then he’ll never be a player. there just aren’t that many girls into mustaches these days.” Amen, my friend, amen. Also, overalls are not flattering on a grown man. I’m just saying.

If you’ve got more of a penchant for koopas than goombas, don’t fear- those are available as well.
