Adorable Pokemon Cupcakes: Gotta Eat ‘Em All

If you’ve ever wanted to eat an entire Jigglypuff in one bite, you’re a disturbed individual and should receive counseling. If you’re a major cupcake lover and a Pokemon fan, you’re in for a treat! These adorable Pokemon cupcakes look delicious, but I’m not sure that I could force myself eat them and render the creator’s hard work a mash of cupcake and frosting being burned alive by acid in my (oversized) belly. *Ponders for a second* Who am I kidding? I’d eat my cupcake and your cupcake, because I need to get both of the Munchlax ones. “That’s unfair!” Life is unfair, small child! *Shoves Munchlax cupcake in mouth*

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to write about these Pokemon cupcakes, because nobody has officially taken credit for them. I wish to thank you, anonymous sir or ma’am, for creating these Pokemon cupcakes for a 7 year-old male or female child who probably enjoyed eating them almost as much as I would have.

Of course, I also would have enjoyed eating the Portal 2 Space Core cake and the Apple 1 Birthday Cake, but I missed out on those too. What I didn’t miss out on was a bunch of zombies at a random convention responding to my pep rally cheers. What do we want?! “BRAINS!” When do we want it?! “… BRAINS!” Eh… their answers were close enough. “Why are you going off on such a large tangent?” So you would be distracted and I would be able to grab your wallet out of your back pocket. *Runs off down the street to buy some cupcakes*

Hey man, want some fresh news? Look at our other posts then, ’cause this one’s quite old. Still awesome though: Flickr user xsomnis made these cupcakes a couple of years ago, and she was kind enough to post instructions on how to make them as well. Without further ado, behold! The smartest cupcakes on Earth!

Get it? ‘Cause they have – so yeah, these are xsomnis’ super special red velvet raspberry [cup]cakes with French vanilla cream cheese frosting and chocolate brains. But screw the French frosting something something, I’m sure you just want to know how she made those brains. I’ll give you a clue: baby dwarfs. No wait: tarsiers. No no no: bite-sized brain candy molds.

Just pour in some chocolate, pop the mold in a freezer and 8 hours or so later you have a tasty treat for Lord Zuthulu. It would’ve been cooler if xsomnis used brain-colored gelatin though, if there is such a thing.

Power Up With Ms. Pac-Man Cupcakes

The simple shapes of Pac-Man and co. make them popular amongst decorative bakers, but sometimes, it’s not about simplicity, but instead about sheer dedication to a theme. These Ms. Pac-Man cupcakes are not only brilliant in and of themselves, but the backdrop really takes the (cup)cake.

These seemingly delicious Ms. Pac-Man cupcakes were made by the folks at Trophy Cupcakes in Seattle for a party, and unless something truly epic happened at that particular shindig, I expect they were one of the most memorable parts!

Gotta love that they constructed the whole thing, even down to extra lives waiting in the wings.

iBaker cornburstt made her friend a bunch of birthday cupcakes. Since her friend made an iPhone app – a Rubik’s cube for the iPhone – she decided to make iPhone cupcakes. iYummy.

If you ask me I’d say those are iPhone icon cupcakes, but I can’t bake and I don’t own an iPhone so. Could be wrong.

Pac-Man Cupcakes 2.0

Remember the sugary 8-bit awesomeness of Hello Naomi’s Pac-Man cupcakes? Well, she’s back, and this time she’s built an even mo’ betta version of the edible video game using 80 individual cupcakes to make a retro gamer geek’s dream wedding cake (no slicing required).

This upgraded version definitely gets the high score.

It’S-a Snack: Mario Bros Cupcakes

With the cupcake currently dominating the sugary snack scene, it’s no surprise that all the old favorites are gathering in fondant and buttercream. We’ve seen Space Invaders cupcakes, cupcakes that recreate a Pac-Man moment, and now, a set of amazing cupcakes featuring Mario and (some) friends.

Some very attractive friends! This is not the first time flickr user and Montreal-based baker clevercupakes has tackled the Mario theme; in fact, you may have seen this earlier effort floating around. I think you’ll also agree that this new batch is at least 50% more delectable. The first batch was good, but these cupcakes are dropping jaws all over the place. Great detail on that goomba!

They almost look too good to eat. Almost.
