Question Mark Block Cutting Board 1-Ups Your Kitchen

Mario fans looking for the perfect thing for their kitchens will want to grab one of these Question Mark Block cutting boards, just right for dicing and slicing any type of mushroom (or other choppable food) you can throw at it.

Each cutting board is made by David Abramson using 256 individually cut strips of ash, cherry and walnut woods, glued together into a butcher block. Since each one is handmade, you’ll see slight variances in every cutting board, but that makes them just that more special in my opinion. The cutting boards measure 11-3/4″ square x 1-1/4″ thick, which should definitely hold at least a few coins or a Fire Flower.

Now you didn’t hear this from me, but if you get out one of those meat pounder things and start smacking on this thing, some coins or power-ups might very well start flying out of the bottom. Or not. Regardless, you know you want one, and you can grab your very own Mario cutting block over at Etsy for $85(USD). Pixel art Mario is unfortunately not included.

Cooking isn’t and has never been one of my strengths. But since it’s incredibly wasteful and unhealthy to keep getting takeout or ordering for a delivery, I’ve since resorted to steaming most of my meals. It’s healthier although a bit bland, but at least I save a lot of time when it comes to preparation because there’s so little things to do for it.

A concept design that I think will benefit amateur cooks all over the world is the Almighty Board.

It’s a digital chopping board that also functions as a cookbook and a weighing scale. If you think about it, those three things are the most important objects to have when you’re preparing your ingredients.

Zelda Triforce Cutting Board, It’s Dangerous to Cut Alone

If you like to chop fruits and vegetables on a cutting board while dressed as Link, I’ve found your perfect kitchen accessory. This quality cutting board is made from walnut and hard-maple and is tough enough that you won’t mess up the design while you are chopping away.

These boards measure about 12 x 17 x 1.5 inches and sell for $125(USD). Given the price I would say that it’s for hardcore Zelda fans only. They are handmade, so if you order one you will get it within 2 weeks as they take some time to create.

You can find it on Etsy from seller 1337motif, who obviously loves both food prep and a good game of Zelda. Sure it’s expensive, but it’s made to last and it has a Triforce on it. Surely those factors justify a purchase. But if it’s still too expensive for you, consider grabbing a set of Triforce coasters for just $50.

IPhone Cutting Board: There’S an App for Breakfast

If you never managed to get that iPhone you wanted, or just plain love iPhones, why not get yourself the MyBrett, the cutting board that’s supposed to look like an iPhone. Actually at this size, it looks more like an iPad.

Touted as a “breakfast cutting board,” the MyBrett is a laser-engraved piece of wood, that will look good whether you eat a sandwich on it or hang it on the wall. MyBrett literally is German for ‘my cutting board’. The MyBrett interface includes such exciting breakfast applications as “Sausage,” “Egg,” “Tea,” and “Cheese.” Not sure what the deal is with the pills though. Maybe they’re vitamins?

They’re currently available for pre-order for €15 (appx. $20 USD). Expected delivery is at the end of September, though I’m not sure that they deliver worldwide. Send them an email to find out.

Space Invaders Cutting Board Invades Kitchens

Whether you’re slicing, dicing, or making julienne fries, this Space Invaders themed cutting board will help you get your Mise en Place in order.

As you chop your way through celery and onion, imagine your knife as a laser cannon, blasting its way through all but the most stubborn of alien invaders.

This wooden cutting board was crafted by 1337motif (great name, btw) using individual “pixels” of walnut and hard maple, and glued with FDA approved waterproof glue. The whole thing is then sealed with mineral oil and beeswax to keep the pesky alien from escaping.
