It was created by Veronica Knight who did an amazing job creating old One-Eye. She even created a crocheted sword to complete the outfit. I love how the body piece looks like scaled armor.

And of course the beard is perfect too. If I saw this thing at night, I would totally run away like a little girl and tell my friends that a Cyclops was out to get me. They would all laugh, but I would know it existed and that it was hunting me. For the rest of my life I would fear the Cyclops and wait for its return. The end.

There’s something to be said about simple and good-looking watches: they make telling time a lot easier than those strange LED watches from Japan. Thankfully, the Cyclops from Mr Jones Watches is very easy to read, and it looks quite nice as well.

Instead of hands, this watch has a single hour marker that goes around the dotted dial. Each hour has a different shaded circle. That’s pretty simple and dead easy to read. I’ve used a watch with no numbers for a while and you can quickly become adept at telling the exact time.

It comes in a black with grayscale dots or in silver with rainbow dots. The Cyclops watch sells for $185 (USD) via the Mr Jones Watches website.

You probably know by now that young Spartans proved their worth by being beaten up senseless and killing – or being killed by – comically large wolves. We modern men are not as barbaric; we’re content with having our babies ride cyclops-head strollers.

This extremely detailed monstrosity is from Elmer Presslee, house of weird furniture and art. It’s owned by William Robbins, who according to his profile “went to school for a while.” That explains the weird stuff. School does that to you.

Jeebus. In case you haven’t noticed, the baby sits on the brain of the cyclops, which is probably what’s making his eye pop out like that. Imagine if someone sat on your brain.

I’m pretty sure if I was still a kid and you showed this to me I’d go insane. If you’re into this kind of art, be sure to check out Elmer Presslee’s website for more nightmare-inducing art as well as furniture.

Real fans don’t buy action figures, whether or not they’re commercially available. Buying things is for wimps.

Real fans don’t buy action figures, whether or not they’re commercially available. Buying things is for wimps. No, the real fan breaks out the paint, dismembers currently-existing figures, and then the real fan makes their own action figures, like Chris Hooton did for the horror game Dead Space.

Dead Space borrows heavily from other material–most notably, science fiction classic Solaris–so it’s only fitting that Hooton’s custom figure borrowed heavily from another figure. That is, he recycled it from a Cyclops figure (from the Marvel Legends line).

You’ve got to love this little project for the attention to bloody-torsoed detail, if nothing else. Nothing says awesome quite like accuracy.
