That shopping site for closeouts and other deals, Woot, it at it again and today they have the 32GB HP TouchPad on sale for $219.99 (USD). The tablet is refurbished, but it comes with a 90-day warranty from HP. If you aren’t familiar with the TouchPad, the tablet has a 9.7-inch screen. It has 32GB of storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 1.3MP camera.

The Touchpad can be hacked to run Android, which is what many people have been doing with them. HP-issued updates for webOS are unlikely since the tablet is discontinued – although with webOS recently open-sourced, it might still have some sort of life going forward. If you want one, you should the tablet right now before the deal expires.

The need for an invite meant a bunch of folks couldn’t access the free service and had to pay for the monthly service instead. Spotify and Facebook have tied up with a new offering that will allow Spotify users to share what they are listening to on Facebook. That also means that if you have a Facebook account you can access Spotify with no invite and at no charge for six months.

The six month free service with your Facebook login is unlimited listening too. That means the ten-hour free limit that is normally applied is nowhere to be seen for the full six months. After that six-month period, you can keep the free ten-hour monthly service or buy the premium service to continue.

The phone has only been out for a few weeks now and when it landed, the price was about $180. As of today, Amazon has discounted the smartphone significantly. The phone sells for $149.99 and then you get a $50 gift card as well. That makes the total cost under $100 for one of the coolest Android smartphones around. Of course, you’ll need to activate a service contract with Verizon to get the deal.

If you aren’t familiar the Droid Bionic runs Android 2.3, has 4G connectivity, a 4.3-inch qHD screen, GPS, WiFi and a lot more. The phone rocks a 1GHz dual-core processor and can be used as a hotspot on the go. Internal storage is 16GB and the phone has a 16GB microSD card too.

The TouchPad didn’t exactly impress the reviewers in most instances, but at $379.99 (USD) the price is low enough that some users will be willing to give it a shot (that’s about $120 off the regular price).

The TouchPad has 16GB of storage inside and a 9.7-inch screen with capacitive touch. The tablet also sports webOS for the operating system, WiFi, and a 1.3MP front mounted camera for video calls. The processor under the hood is a 1.2GHz Snapdragon. The battery is a 6300mAh unit that should keep you surfing the web for hours, but there’s no 3G connectivity built in.

The tablet will ship for $5 more, and these are brand new products, not refurbs.

As of August 12, the 3DS will have a new retail price of $169.99 all the time. That is a $80 discount and certainly makes the portable more appealing. If you recently purchased a 3DS at the old price you might be upset right now, but don’t be.

Nintendo is offering free games to everyone that already owns the 3DS. There will be 20 free downloadable games from the eShop existing users can get on the portable. The free games are offered to anyone that owns the 3DS prior to the price drop. The games will be free to any user that logs into the eStore at least once before August 11 at midnight. The games include ten NES Virtual Console games and ten GBA virtual games will be offered too.

RadioShack has the Evo 4G on sale until Christmas Day for just $99 (USD). That is a big discount. The only catch is that you have to trade in another working cell phone to get the $100 instant savings. The Evo 4G at the special price with trade is good for new and upgrade users.

You also have to sign up for new 2-year plan. RadioShack is also giving away a free Plantronics Bluetooth headset with qualifying plans. If the Evo 4G or Sprint isn’t for you, you can get the iPhone 3GS for $49 as well as the Captivate Android device, LG Quantum WinMo 7 smartphone or the Blackberry torch for $49.

The deal right now is for a shiny new 32GB iPad with free shipping. The company has to get 50 people signed up to get the iPad with the first discount, which is $45 off MSRP. If the company can get 1000 folks signed up, the discount gets better. I would assume the $100 off Evolyte is promising comes in at the 1000 unit mark. Plus, Evolyte doesn’t charge shipping, and you won’t pay sales tax if you live outside of Illinois (until every other state reads this.)

There is a chance that the deal won’t make it, which sucks. The thing has another 4.5 days to run and already 12 out of the 50 have been sold for the first discount, so things are looking good. With the exception of yesterday’s $41 off deal for Apple’s Black Friday sale, this is one of the few places you might be able to score a significant discount on an iPad.

While pricing will remain at $199.99 (USD) for the Wii, each console will now include Wii Sports Resort and a Wii MotionPlus accessory in every box. That’s in addition to the already included Wii-mote, Nunchuk and Wii Sports in every package. If I’m doing my math right, that’s about a $40 bucks worth of extra schwag with every system. Not too shabby, if you ask me.

The bundle for both the original white Wii will also start showing up in stores on May 9th. Looks like now is a great time to get your hands on a Wii (pun intended) if you don’t have one already, are looking to pick up a gift, or if you just want all of the equipment in your rack to be black.

Of course, the 16GB Latte Espresso PMP can play music and video files, but it’s also got a touchscreen with tactile feedback, so you can actually feel a pronounced “click” when you interact with buttons and controls on the screen. The media player also features a “G-sensor” which automatically rotates the apps and display to match the angle of the player’s 3-inch (420×240 resolution) display.

Audio formats supported include MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, OGG, and AAC (without DRM). Video can be played back in AVI, WMV, RM, RMVB, 3GP, MPG, MP4 or FLV formats. There’s also a built-in FM radio, but it doesn’t receive HD radio or RDS information like other the new Zune HD does. But what do you want for $99 bucks? On the other hand, it can actually broadcast its audio signal to a nearby FM radio without any extra hardware.

As is often the case with these jack-of-all-trades media players, it also includes other miscellaneous apps like voice recording, a text reader, a stopwatch and a photo browser, but none of them sound like anything special.

Released earlier this year with a list price of $199 (USD), you can now get your hands on a Latte Espresso over on Amazon for just $99.99. If you’re wondering if you should take the plunge, 4dthinker has a detailed review of the Latte Espresso, along with all its pros and cons.

According to the guys over at FormatWarCentral, the Magnavox NB530MGX Blu-Ray player has been spotted at at least one Wal-Mart store with a price Rollback to just $98 (USD). Despite the crazy low price, this model supports full 1080p resolution video, over an HDMI 1.3 connection, and true 24fps playback to boot.

It’s not currently available on the Wal-Mart website, but with a price like that, it’s worth heading out to your local big box shop to see if they’ve also cut the price. I’m hopeful that these kinds of price cuts are just a taste of what’s to come for the 2009 holiday shopping season.

For just $1299, you’ll get a good deal on the 46-inch Sony Bravia KDL-46S4100, plus you’ll get the 19-inch Bravia KDL-19M4000/S thrown in (via a $499 instant savings on the bundle). The KDL-46S4100 is a highly rated flat screen LCD with full 1080p resolution, while the 19-inch silver-bezeled LCD TV normally retails for $499, and displays 720p images (upscaled onto a 1440 x 900 display). The KDL-19M4000/S isn’t too shabby if you’re looking for an extra set for your office, kitchen or a bedroom and is a great bonus if you were already in the market for a large LCD for your living room.

The DP1 is a compact digital camera that features a 14-megapixel optical sensor powered by Foveon CMOS technology, a pop-up flash and a 2.5-in LCD viewing screen. Go to Sigma’s DP1 website or Digital Photography Review’s article on the DP1 and see if it’s the right camera for you. But be quick about it if you want to save $500 – these surely won’t last long.

The image above is obviously not realistic, but it looks funny so I made it that way. The Mini 9 is actually much smaller. I’m kidding. The $1,380 XPS Studio is equipped with the latest processor from Intel, a 2.66 GHz i7 processor with 8MB cache. The desktop also comes with a 24-inch flat panel monitor, 6Gb DDR3 SDRAM, a 7200RPM 750Gb hard disk, an ATI Radeon HD 4670 video card with 512Mb memory, an integrated 7.1 channel sound card, and two DVD drives, one 16x read-only and another drive that has a 16x DVD+/-RW with double layer write capability.

As you can see in the image above, the $99 Mini 9 that is tied to a purchase of the XPS desktop comes with Ubuntu; you have to add $50 to get a Mini 9 with Windows XP.

The Mini 9 is a classic netbook: tiny, light and weak. Again I don’t know if the Mini 9 in question is the $319 or the $399 Mini 9, but both versions only differ in the amount of memory and hard drive space. The $319 Mini 9 only has 512Mb of RAM and an 8Gb SSD  hard drive, whereas the $399 version is equipped with 1Gb of RAM and a 16Gb SSD hard drive. Both versions have an 8.9″ LED display, are powered by a 1.66Ghz/533Mhz FSB with 512k cache Intel Atom processor, Intel GMA 950 for video and a 4 cell battery for mobile computing.

There aren’t any further details on what models would be receiving a cut, nor by how much. Xbox-Scene does confirm that the individual who reported the news has provided accurate information in the past, so that could mean something. As is always the case with rumor and speculation, we’ll just have to wait and see what actually comes of it.
