Looking for a way to get high-def digital content on your TV? You might want to check out this nifty media player box that can play full HD videos directly from your SD or USB flash memory.

Chinavasion’s CVHD-E16 media player lets you play videos in a wide variety of formats on your HDTV. There’s support for video files in MP4, MKV, MOV, MPEG, MPG, VOB, AVI, DIVX, XVID and RMVB formats, as well as audio files in MP3, AAC or WMA formats too. Wherever would you find videos to play on this thing?

Just load up your video files onto an SD/MMC card or USB flash drive (SD max size 16GB/USB max size 32GB), plug it into the front of the player, and you’re off to the races. In addition to the HDMI digital multimedia output, there’s component video with coax, optical and plain old stereo analog outputs. The player supports HDMI 1.3, and outputs video in either 720p or 1080p resolutions. Also in the box is an infrared remote for you to easily navigate through your digital media from the other side of the room.

Plezo Mp3 Player Does Game Emulation

This new MP3 player out of Korea features one special capability that makes it truly stand out from the crowd – it plays emulated video games.

The Plezo PMG-250 media player features technology that lets it play classic (and not so classic) games from Sega MegaDrive, Nintendo NES and GameBoy Color consoles. The PMG-250 has a 2.5″ LCD color screen, with stereo speakers and a joypad for controlling games. In addition to its game playing prowess, it can play audio and video clips in a variety of formats, and has an SD slot for expandable storage.

The manufacturer doesn’t indicate if they’ll be selling games for download onto the system, or if they’ll just rely on the savvy of owners to find their own (under various rocks.)

Retail price for the PMG-250 player is KRW 169,000 (appx. $180 USD.)

Philips Dcp850 Portable DVD Features Built in iPod Dock

Philips latest portable DVD player has added a feature that just might convince me to pick one up. In addition to the usual DVD player and LCD screen, the player has a sleek integrated dock for your iPod.

The Philips DCP850 player offers a nice big 8.5-inch 16:9 widescreen display, and a slimline DVD player, but its real difference is that it can play audio and video files directly from your video iPod. Simply pop out the player’s remote control and pop in your iPod. The player can even charge your iPod while docked.

In addition to DVD, DVD+/-R and DVD+/-RW, (S)VCD, formats, the $200 player can also play back DivX or MPEG4 format videos from a built-in SD memory slot. The DCP850 also features Dolby Digital audio, and built in stereo speakers for audio playback. Battery life is just 2.5 hours, though I have a funny feeling you might get more play time if you’re not running the DVD player’s motor.
