The collection includes eggy versions of Yoda, Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt, Darth Maul, C-3P0, R2-D2, and Chewbacca. I think that the Darth Maul and R2-D2 eggs are great, though Jabba’s face is pretty classic.

It must have been quite difficult to paint these eggs with so many details. If you like them, you can probably reproduce these at home, assuming you have a steady hand – and can wait until next Easter, that is.

Using Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the OVO-4 will emulate the twisting, pitching, slipping, accelerating and braking, on the runway. While in flight,  vibration systems replicate turbulence, runway irregularities, engine vibration and jolting from ignition.

Other features include: Sleeping inside when your wife sees the bill and kicks you out and the ability to set it to auto-pilot when you off yourself because you suddenly realize that your life savings are gone.

The TW-S7 speakers come in black or white colors and look like eggs. The coolest thing about the speakers isn’t the design though, it’s the fact that they are USB powered and still claim to produce 10W+10W worth of power. Since USB ports typically output only 2.5W of electricity, the speakers use their special “Super Charged Drive System” to boost the power.

Each of the speakers has a passive radiator for bass and a big 60mm ferrite magnet driver along with a high-frequency diffuser. These speakers promise some high-end quality. They launched in Japan back in April and are heading to the US on August 1 for $129.99 (USD). Nanu nanu.

Anyway, remember those Ovalia Egg Chairs that were such a hit in the sixties? Well, now Silicone Zone has made a few chairs of their own, but this time, it’s really for the eggs. Say hello to the Egg Chair.

Egg cups aren’t really new to the scene, and I personally don’t use them when I eat eggs because I can do without the extra hassle. I mean, I can just hold the hard-boiled egg or put it in a bowl and eat it as I would if it were in a cup. But that’s just me.

However, this egg cup is different because it does more than just hold the egg in place.

These Egg Chairs are made from silicone and are oven safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and freezer safe. So just put an egg on it, pop it in the oven (for baked eggs?!), or in the microwave to heat up an already hard-boiled egg gone cold.

The Egg Chair was designed by Anima Dinamica and is available in a wide array of bright colors and is currently still in production. You can check out its page on Silicone Zone’s website for more information although it’s not yet available for purchase.

The Eggbot can draw on objects with diameters ranging from 1.25 to 4.25 inches, so you can forget about drawing on your head. It has two stepping motors – one to rotate the object, and one to rotate the drawing instrument. A servo motor raises and lowers the writing instrument.

The chassis is made of fiberglass and is highly adjustable, so it can firmly grip the object that it’s drawing on. So what can you make with the Eggbot? Things like these!

Awesome, eh? Eggbot isn’t for total newbies though. It requires a couple of basic tools, a couple of hours to build, and you have to know – or learn  – how to use Inkscape, an open source vector graphics editor, because that’s where you’ll make your drawings. That’s exactly the value proposition you’ll get if you pick up artist Jordi Canudas’ Less Lamp. You see, this pendant lighting fixture looks like a solid black hanging egg when you first receive it, letting exactly none of the light out into your room. But thanks to the included pick, you can chip your way through the delicate exterior eggshell and let the light shine out to your own liking.

As a matter of fact, you can start small, cracking out a few tiny pinholes to let the light out. But when you get bored with that, get the pick out again, and really get to work. A tap here and a pick there, et voila – a bright wash of light emerges from the bottom of your once perfect – now cracked – egg.

Each one is loaded with a tiny 1-inch diameter Hi-Vi B1S driver. While Gomhi says the sound they produce is “narrow” (I’m assuming he means “tinny”), he’s still pleased with the result of his handywork. I’m still not sure how he managed to cut open the eggs so precisely, nor how he crammed the speaker elements in without shattering the shells.

Me, I think I’ll take a dozen eggs and make myself an 11.1 egg-based surround sound system for my home theater.

Unlike real eggs (and those colorful Weebles), these only come in black and red, and they don’t crack open to produce omelets. They do, however, twist open to produce enhanced bass output. I wonder if they can only play The Egg Song?

The size and contour of the mouse looks like it would fit perfectly in the palm of your hand, while looking great on any desktop. The Egg Mouse features a high-resolution optical sensor, and a super smooth scroll wheel that spins like butta.

Previously available only in Japan, gadget importer AudioCubes managed to fly a bunch of these eggs in for consumption stateside. They’re available now for $49 a piece (which works out to be a rather insane $588 a dozen).

The egg-shaped device from DreamCheeky holds artificial soil, seeds and water, then helps your budding garden grow by feeding it with a USB-powered grow-light. The kit comes with everything you need to get started, including some marigold seeds. It even ships with software that lets you monitor the growth rate of your plantings.
