Super Mario Bros. X is far and away the best fan-made tribute to the classic Nintendo games ever, combining bits and pieces from Super Mario 1, 2, 3 and World into a single massive game. Dragonball Fan Film: a Super Saiyan 4 Compared to the American Movie

If I were to summarize the essence of Dragonball in one word, that word would be “power”. Akira Toriyama just kept on upping the ante, so much so that we could look past the fact that the franchise’ planet-destroying characters have ridiculous names, like Carrot, or Rice, or Bra. Not only did 2009′s Dragonball Evolution have a generous heaping of bad acting and bad scriptwriting, it had none of the power of the original. So is it possible to faithfully adapt Dragonball as a live-action film? A French fan film says oui.

Before you watch the clip, let me just say that it’s only relatively epic. It’s not as polished as, say, Street Fighter Legacy. The acting is bad too. Then again, this was made in 2008, using meager resources. And it’s still a lot better than Dragonball Evolution.

Aperture Science Van Tooling Around, Scaring the Hell Out of People [Portal]

Somewhere out there, one dedicated Valve devotee is driving around in a sinister white Aperture Laboratories van, thrilling and terrifying random people. Imagine: you’re just walking your dog, minding your own, and suddenly, this van.

I can’t decide if I would run the hell away or start high-fiving random people. Each reaction is equally likely at seeing an Aperture Science van, especially one that looks so official. Portal: the game that really sticks with you. Or follows you around, watching your every move.
