This road-worthy Batmobile replica was built with a 3.5 Liter GM350 Crate engine and comes complete with a rocket exhaust flamethrower. It makes you wonder how that passed the DMV inspection. It also has roll-top dashboard doors, a flashing red beacon, a Bat Phone, an automatic Batbeam antenna grid and a glowing Detect-a-Scope radar screen, whatever those are.

The Batmobile’s 280hp engine will take you from 0-to-60 in 5 seconds, and to a top speed of 90mph (better hope the criminals can’t outrun you.) Oh yeah, and it gets 9 miles per gallon, so you’ll be heading to the Bat Gas Station frequently. You can get yours directly from Firebox for the low price of £120,000 (~$188,000 USD). Enough said!

Made by Instructables contributor PDRWLSN, this flamethrower pistol looks like it could still do some pretty major damage, especially if you’re within a couple of feet of its flame-shooting barrel. He made it using various bits of copper tubing, plywood, some laser-cut acrylic parts, butane, and the pulse-ignitor from his gas grill to start the fire burning.

And while readers over on Make: have been quick to point out the dangers of spraying burning hydrocarbon into the atmosphere, you shouldn’t be playing with such a device if you’re not a little bit of a risk-taker.

I love how he uses it to melt snow off his barbecue grill. I could use one of these this winter for sure. I’m betting that we’ll have another blizzard or two this winter here in Chicago. And if not, I could still use one to hold back the impending zombie invasion.

I’m partial to silicone cases, while my sister goes for the leather ones. My dad likes hard shell cases while my other sister carries around her gadgets in the nude (and her phone and iPod are obviously the most banged up ones in our family.)

However, these cases by Jelly Belly are right up my alley. I mean, who doesn’t love jelly beans? I literally grew up eating these during class (when the teacher wasn’t looking) and I still gorge myself on these tasty treats every once in a while.

The cases are made from durable TPI plastic and come in five enticing scents (that happen to be the most popular flavors of Jelly Belly’s jelly beans): Strawberry Cheesecake, Very Cherry, Blueberry, Licorice and Berry Blue.

Aside from the cases, Jelly Belly is also releasing jelly bean-shaped earbuds that follow the same color theme as the cases. However, unlike the latter, they won’t be scented. But really, who would want their ears to come off smelling like candy after each and every use?

The guys at J&M Special Effects put together a set of DIY flamethrowers that are mounted on his gloves, firing intense, scalding flames from the palms of his hands. But who needs words when you can see it in action:

This kick-ass pyro system is just a prototype, and the J&M guys say the final version of the system would be more streamlined so the hoses and cables could be hidden inside of a performer’s costume – which I can only hope would be flameproofed.

In this vid clip, SS shows off his work-in-progress wrist-work flamethrower in action. The rig consists of an aerosol can of butane, some tubing, a nozzle and a finger-controlled trigger made from string. It’s definitely not something I’d strap to my arm if given a choice.

Now SS hasn’t figured out a permanent source of ignition, so he has to start it with a torch, but once it’s going, it’s definitely something that could strike fear into the hearts of anyone who tries to mess with him.

While I can’t in good conscience advocate you guys building this sort of dangerous rig for yourselves, I have to hand it to ShockSlayer for his ingenuity. Now don’t set the house – or the cat – on fire.

UK scooter rider Colin Fruze is apparently sick and tired of tailgaters, and decided to finally do something about it. You see, he’s outfitted his moped with a rear-mounted flamethrower that can shoot fire up to 15 feet from the rear of his motorcycle.

According to Colin, “The flames are pretty big… and you could definitely set fire to someone’s car if you wanted to… The only problem is it can get rather hot if you are riding the moped and blast the flames when the wind is in the wrong direction.” Uh, yeah. That could get ugly.

For some reason, I’m betting this thing isn’t street-legal. But who cares? It’s still awesome.

So it’s with much glee that I report that the Robosaurus is up for auction. That’s right, you can own the giant beast and put it on your front lawn to chomp on unpleasant neighbors (or at least melt their cars). That’s assuming you can get it past your nosy neighborhood association — though they’d be the first ones I’d feed to the giant metal automaton.
