It’s colorful. It’s bright. It may also be a seizure-inducing weapon if wielded properly. Check out glitz around 1:14 to see what’s really up with this one, and then just let it play.

One of the main reasons to buy a Nintendo DSi instead of a DS Lite is the built-in digital camera. Now you can add to your creative photography options thanks to this new kit from Thrustmaster.

The DSi Studio Kit provides you with a variety of shooting options including a removable flash, and wide angle, macro/close-up and telephoto lens attachments. There’s also a set of 6 color filters you can use to create visual effects. Thrustmaster also includes a (shiny metallic) protective cover that holds the lenses and filter attachments in place.

While the packaging and styling appear to be targeted towards the Barbie and American Girl Place set, there’s no reason that we can’t all enjoy it. Although I might have to replace the shiny metallic carrying bag with something a bit more macho.

The DSi Studio Kit should be available any day now, and retails for $19.99 (USD).

Alice in Wonderland kicks off with the fall down the rabbit hole, and most games based on the adventures of the iconic young heroine follow suit. Such is the case with Alice is Dead, though from the title, you may have already guessed that things take a turn for the ghastly early on in this browser-based adventure.

Alice is Dead is an episodic adventure that starts off in the rabbit hole with Alice’s grisly corpse and the staple of all adventure games, a witty narrator who comments on everything you click. In fact, everything here will be familiar… but it’s all twisted just a little to the left of normal.

This first episode is quite short, but even so, there’s a walkthrough available for the desperate, so there’s absolutely no excuse not to try to figure out what happened to Alice, and whether or not there’s a way through that blue door. You know you want to open it. But can you? Go give it a shot. After all, it’s free.

When most of us think of Tetris, we think of puzzle games. But this new variant of the classic brick-stacking puzzler isn’t about that. You see, Tetris’D is a platform game. Huh, wha?

The objective of Kobra Editing’s little Flash game Tetris’D is simple. Blocks fall from the sky just like they do in the original ‘tris, except instead of controlling the blocks, you move a little stick-figure dude who’s about to be crushed by them-thar falling blocks. You can move and jump over bricks, and with enough practice, you can even wall jump while you’re moving through the air. All you’ve got to do is stay alive without being smooshed or falling off of the platform. But don’t let the simple premise fool you. This game will seriously kick your ass when you first pick it up.

Wanna give a shot? Jump on over to StickPage and get to some Tetris’D platform’n now’n. While you’re over there, be sure to check out Kobra’s accompanying Tetris’d stick-figure animations for an added diversion.

These fun UFO USB flash drives come to us courtesy of crafter OrigamiMe (yeah, I know this isn’t origami). Each one stores 4GB of your otherworldly data, and is hand-carved from basswood and painted with shiny chrome enamel paint to look just like one of those retro 1950s spacecraft.

Sure, it’s not the most practical looking USB drive I’ve ever seen, but it could be the coolest. You can get yours over at OrigamiMe’s Etsy shop for $30 (USD).

It’s true! It may be confusing as a concept, but once you start playing the Flash-based Upgrade Complete you’ll see how straightforward it is. Meta-video games like this are more often than not bursting with humor, and Upgrade Complete is no exception. At the start of the game you’re immediately faced with a Catch-22: you have to buy the game’s preloader, but you have to play the game to earn money. So the game lends you money, then you buy the preloader. Then you buy the menu. Then the game’s graphics. I’m not kidding!

Then the grinding starts. You play a generic space shooter – I don’t know why – to earn the money to upgrade the game. But of course you can also upgrade your spaceship. The funny thing about the space shooter is that you cannot fail. At least not in the first few upgrades.

As you can see my upgraded ship – which is so loaded with upgrades that one of its parts isn’t even on the ship anymore – is much more awesome when viewed in upgraded graphics. My (un)journalistic duties once again prevented me from spending too much time with the game, but you have the power to finish it! Just go to Kongregate or Armor Games and play for free. Tell me what happens at the end okay?

The craymachine is a bitchin’ way to kill time. If the iPhone had a keyboard this would’ve been a cool app. So what is it? It’s a flash-based synthesizer; a sound is mapped to each letter on your keyboard, ranging from the normal but essential bass drum of b to the intergalactic croak of w. The Presurfer likes to think of it as a way of finding out how the letters in your name sound like. Based on the craymachine the coolest name would be cabsdert. Or anything that uses those letters.

Every letter also has a corresponding doodle, so as you combo the beats you create shapes like the ones above. For some reason though the craymachine will only accept lowercase letters. I’m not making sense am I? Just go to the site and type type type.

Auto-tune not included.

If you’ve upgraded to Apple’s much-hyped and well-received Snow Leopard, I recommend that you update your system’s Adobe Flash player – even if you already had the latest version prior to the installation. That’s because in the process of installing Snow Leopard, your current Flash player will be replaced by version 10.0.23.1. Both Adobe and computer security company Sophos have verified that if you’ve been updating your Flash player regularly prior to installing Snow Leopard then you’ve just been downgraded, Apple style.

Sadly, the folks in Cupertino don’t warn its customers about this. While it’s not exactly a major oversight, I don’t think it would have been hard to have the Snow Leopard installer end with a prompt telling users to check their Flash players.

Of course you’ll still be able to watch videos of puppies who can’t roll over even if you don’t have the latest version of the Flash player, but you’ll also be less secure because these upgrades are released mostly to address security issues. As of this writing the latest version is 10.0.32.18. You can check the version of the flash player installed on your system by visiting Adobe’s about Flash player page. If you don’t have the latest flash player then I suggest you upgrade. Or you can be macho about it and let the malware come at you.

At least that’s what Geek Stuff 4 U is calling this traditional folding fan with a 16 GB flash drive embedded in one of its ribs. Or is it a USB drive with a fan attached to it?

It’s probably something that ninjas and spies use to carry – or steal – data. Yes that’s it: it’s an ninja’s USB drive. It’s more awesome to think of it that way, as opposed to it being your grandmother’s flash disk.

Made of an exquisite combination of bamboo, wood and cotton, deftly manipulated by someone who can only be a master fansmith, and finished off with 5 layers of lacquer resulting in a life-altering sheen, the sensu 16 GB USB drive is freakin’ expensive: it’s selling for about $300 (USD) at Geek Stuff 4 U. Yes, it’s as expensive as a PS3 Slim. But is a PS3 Slim handmade? No. Can a PS3 Slim keep you cool? No. Can ninjas use it to steal data? No. And Sony says that their console only does everything. Pff.

These fast food USB drives come in two flavors: cheeseburger and french fry. The french fry drive stores 4GB of files, and tastes better with salt and ketchup and sells for $19.99 (USD). The 8GB cheeseburger memory is already loaded with all of the toppings you’d want on a burger and sells for $29.99.

At this point, they’re not offering any Chicken McNugget, Filet ‘O Fish or McRib drives, but I figure it’s only a matter of time before they do.

Finally! Something for all those crystal-loving, hardcore Terminator fans with lots of extra money to throw at their data storage needs! Your wait is over, folks. The skulldrive is here to empty your wallets.

Those sinister eyes aren’t just pretty rocks–they’re Swarovski crystals, which explains the $150 (USD) price tag. What isn’t explained, however, is why this admittedly cool USB drive only has a 2GB capacity. Seems a lot of money to shell out in support of the fourth Terminator flick considering the memory stick doesn’t exactly have a lot of heft to it.

Also, at this point, I’m pretty sure that there is a novelty USB drive to support just about everything. Too bad they aren’t cheaper!

Hey there my dear dear readers. Today I’m going to tell you about the TUFF CLIP USB drives from Verbatim. Unfortunately there’s not a lot to say about them. They seem to have a rugged casing, and they have built-in clips, so you can clip it to your belt loop, attach it to your keychain, hell you can even use it as an earring if you want. Oh and you can also protect its contents with a password. So. Yeah. That’s about it. Hmmm. Maybe I should’ve picked a weirder gadget. This is awkward. Should we kiss now? Oh pics. Right! Of course.

The 4GB TUFF CLIP is the blue one, and its currently being sold for a mere $17 (USD) at Amazon. The black drive is the 8GB model, and it sells for $25, also at Amazon.

Donald Trump, now that you’ve outfitted your desktop with a gold USB hub and gold mouse for your gold MacBook Pro, why not pick up a matching gold bar flash drive?

Sure, this flash drive might say it’s 999.9 fine gold, but priced at under $20 bucks, it’s definitely not made out of anything other than cheap plated metal. At that price, you can buy a dozen and leave them lying all over your office if you want to look like a real high-roller.

Each gold bar flash drive comes packaged in a schmancy looking red gift box, and they’re available now over at ChinaGrabber.

So Donald, even if you did take a bath on the real estate crash, you can afford some of these. Maybe you can hand them out in lieu of Christmas bonuses this year.

Looking for a nice little time-waster this weekend? PixelPop is a quirky little Flash game that should burn at least 5 minutes of your spare time.

The objective of PixelPop is simple. You just stand there in your hot pink Japanese super hero leotard, gyrating your hips to the music. Watermelons fly by and you karate chop them as they whiz past. Sounds like a typical day to me.

All you do is click the mouse to the beat of the music to chop them in half. Simple enough, right? As the game progresses, the fruit starts flying fast and furiously, and the the watermelons are replaced with just slightly more elusive apples. Oh yeah, and if you happen to try and karate-chop one of those flying bombs – here’s what you’ll see…

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to Nitrome and play some PixelPop now.

Adorable, right? Don’t get too excited–Sgedra’s Wall-E USB drive was available at Etsy for the short span of time that elapsed between the driving being listed and someone seeing it. At least point, all we can hope for is that a positive response will result in an entire army of little Wall-E keychain drives trundling across the world, our data in tow.

Translation: please make more, Sgedra! 8GB plus Wall-E equals success, and no one can argue with math.

But if you truly love the game, enough to carry it with you at all times, you can now put it on your Nintendo DS.

Odds are, if you’ve heard of You Have to Burn the Rope, you’ve played it. You’ve talked about it. You may have posted some screencaps somewhere. But if you truly love the game, enough to carry it with you at all times, you can now put it on your Nintendo DS.

Not familiar with this little gem? Even if you don’t have a Nintendo DS, or don’t want to bother with the homebrew edition, you owe it to yourself to check out the Flash version. Just remember that titles are important.

It’s worth it, if only for the song at the closing credits (Portal fans: go forth and play, especially). You could find the song in YouTube, of course, but that would be cheating.

Now go burn the rope. If you’re having trouble, do try the DS version. It’s even got a map!

Did you know Rabbit wants Cake? Sure he does–and can you blame him? Cake is delicious! The question is, will you help Rabbit achieve this tasty goal? It only takes a few taps of your arrow keys….

Rabbit Wants Cake is all about a remote-controlled rabbit who’s after a bit of cake. Players record moves and Rabbit executes them, but it isn’t as simple as it sounds. Rabbit Wants Cake has two modes, Normal and Expert. In Normal, you can record your moves, test them out, and then even change the duration of jobs with the bar at the top.

In Expert, well… get used to some trial and error, because you can’t do any of that fancy business.

Rabbit Wants Cake is deceptively difficult in places, but if you’re a meticulous planner, this is the game that will waste your time today. If you make it through all 25 levels, you deserve cake, but remember: the cake is for the rabbit.

In the noir-influenced Great Red Herring Chase, you assume the role of a private dick (of course) looking to track down a crime boss. You can’t just start at the top, though; you’ve got to work your way up from the bottom, tracking criminals and climbing the underworld ladder.

Players accomplish this by typing commands to their taxi driver until they catch–or lose–the criminal. Even if you’re a speedy typist, the game can prove a challenge.

Want to look chic while keeping your personal data safe and sound? These new sunglasses from Calvin Klein have a USB drive hidden in the arm, letting you store info and protect your eyes from UV rays at the same time.

These new shades from the house of Calvin Klein sport a 4GB USB flash drive, neatly concealed inside the right arm. Unfortunately, this design means you can’t wear the sunglasses while accessing your data, but how often do you really need to do that. And I’ve got to ask, why couldn’t they double the storage by putting another drive on the left side too?

Calvin Klein’s USB sunglasses should hit stores this October for $199 (USD).

In the browser game Fragger, you aim grenades in order to solve problems. Er, puzzles. Puzzles. Though, in a pinch, I’d bet a grenade could solve an awful lot of problems.

Underneath, this simple game is about strategy (and blowing dudes up), and it’s important to consider each move carefully, because until you can prove yourself, you’ve got a limited amount of grenades.
