Have you ever spotted someone sporting a watch that looks so good, you ogled and went all googly-eyed just staring at it?

Well, the HM3 Frog Zr Watch will stare right back at you with its equally huge hour and minute domes that look like lipid pools of darkness.

I say the watch is endangered because there are only 18 of these that are reportedly being made. Talk about limited edition. And they don’t come cheap, either: they’ve been tagged with a whopping pricetag set at $92,000. If you thought the Devon Tread 1 watch was in the pricey league, then this one definitely takes the cake.

The back of the watch is coated with zirconium (hence, the Zr in the name of the watch, which is the chemical symbol for the element). A 22k gold rotor painted in a striking purple color moves the inner workings of the watch, and even the color is special: it doesn’t display the same tone or color in every angle.

It’s not yet available (but it will be soon). So if you want one, it’s best to keep your eyes and ears peeled because they will become extinct once all 18 are snatched up already.

I still remember that day in 7th grade when we walked into biology class and pinned to a bunch of trays were dead frogs. The teacher gave us all a scalpel and we set about cutting the stinky preserved frogs up to see what is inside. I will remember the smell forever, and the fact that my lab partner ended up with frog juice in his mouth (don’t ask).

This is really cool. LEGO fan Dave Kaleta has constructed a dissected frog completely out of LEGO bricks. The frog is splayed open and its innards and outards are all made out of the little plastic bricks. It took quite a vision and a keen recollection of what a frog looks like on the inside to pull this off.

The person reportedly built the LEGO frog for the MOC Olympics anatomy competition. The builder even made the dissection tools and tray out of LEGOs.

These Formation Arts trading figures of everyone’s favorite time-traveling warriors will have you doing a Poyozo Dance. Measuring 2.5 to 4 inches, the dioramas feature Crono, Robo, Lucca, Ayla, Frog and Magus of Chrono Trigger, the game so nice they released it thrice. Unfortunately, I don’t know why but Marle’s not in any of the dioramas. She must be in another time. There’s a rat though.

If it’s any consolation to Marle fans, these dioramas won’t X-Strike your wallet – you can get all four for just $40 (USD) at Entertainment Earth. So come on, sleepy head! Get up! You don’t want to get the ending where you don’t have these dioramas do you?

Ah, Biology 101. We may be from different nations and cultures, but I’m sure those of us who have gone through that class share very similar experiences: The fear. The excitement. The jumping, twitching animals. The smell. Oh, the smell. The teacher who repeatedly hit the catfish in the head with a stone while the class watched, one half in horror, the other literally rofl’ing. Just another one of those insane things we went through as adolescents. Re-live those memories with The Crafty Hedgehog’s knitted dissected animals:

The frog up there is hand knit from a silk/wool blend, while its innards are needle-felted out of 100% pure wool. It even comes pinned to a dissection tray for that added morbidity!

The poor lab rat above is made from an acrylic/mohair blend with wool innards. Both the frog and the rat can be taken out of their trays (they’re only pinned down, not glued to their trays) and… cuddled. Wednesday Addams approves. There’s also a dissected Easter Bunny, which has Easter eggs in place of innards.

All of the creations sell for $125 (USD) at The Crafty Hedgehog’s Etsy shop. Quite expensive eh? If you know how to knit, you can purchase the knitting patterns for the frog and the rat instead for only $4 each. Too bad there are no knitted dissected catfish. That would have done it for me.

After watching and listening to the smiley singing frogs standing on the top of this weird Japanese clock, I’m pretty sure that I’d never want this thing in my bedroom. I have enough trouble easing my way into the day already, and to be blasted out of my deep REM cycles by a couple of loudmouth frogs singing unintelligibly would be enough for me to get out the baseball bat.

On the other hand, I suppose that if you’re a really deep sleeper and find yourself constantly hitting the snooze bar, there’s pretty much no way you’ll be able to keep sleeping once these little green guys get to croaking out their morning tunes. And if you get bored with the first song “Chorus of the Frogs,” you can always press a button and be serenaded with “The Peaceful Lake.” Trust me, once you listen to this thing, you’ll say there’s nothing peaceful about it.

The Singing Kero Clock was originally only available in Japan (where I believe it should have remained). However, our friends over at the Japan Trend Shop have been kind enough to see to it that the rest of the world can be tortured by the strains of these vocally-challenged froggies for the low, low price of $52 (USD).

Ribbit. Now wake the hell up!

The gadgets that Brando sells are often weird but they’re mostly affordable. GeekStuff4U has it the other way around: slightly weird gadgets that really hurt the pockets. Case in point: handmade frog and duck USB flash disks. Why? I mean, sure, they look nice, but… Why?

Okay I must admit, USB frog looks cool. He looks like a tatooed alien frog. With a USB interface sticking out of his butt.

I don’t like USB duck. He’s boring. As I said, both are handmade, plus they’re made from a traditional Japanese heavy crepe cloth called chirimen, hence their price: a 2GB capacity of either animal sells for $83 (USD), then $94 for 4Gb, and finally $105 for the 8GB. If you think they’re worth it, head on to ExpensiveStuff4U GeekStuff4U.

Parappa the Rapper has got to be one of the greatest rhythm matching games of all time. From its whimsical 2D cartoon character designs to its hysterical lyrics, it’s a true classic. Now you can pay homage to the paper-thin Parappa by donning the same hat that the eponymous paper-thin dog wore in the game.

Handcrafted by worthysoycandles, the bright orange crocheted skullcap is a perfect match to Parappa’s original, complete with the goofy green frog. The hat is the perfect accessory for those all-night Guitar Hero III and Rock Band jam sessions. After all, most of today’s music games owe at least a little nod to the square-headed rapping canine.

But you’d better kick-punch-chop-block your way on over to Etsy if you want to cover your noggin with this cap. There’s no telling when she’ll crochet another one.

Back in the early 1980′s, industrial designer Hartmut Esslinger of frog design fame was cranking out machines for a young little tech company called Apple Computer. As a matter of fact, he was the man behind design of the wildly popular Apple IIc personal computer.

Now, Esslinger’s son, Marc, has put together a never before seen gallery of designs that Apple never released.

My personal favorite has gotta be the Phone Mac, complete with a touch-sensitive screen. Maybe that’s where they got the idea for the iPhone (although I thought this was.) The caption from the gallery even says that it was a collaboration with AT&T if you can believe it!

In addition to the Phone Mac, the gallery features a variety of interesting machines, including some wild early Macintosh and portable computer prototypes. There’s even a 1984 design for a wireless wrist communicator which wasn’t far off from predicting today’s technological marvels.

Be sure to hop on over to Fudder to check out the entire collection. You won’t be disappointed.
