Hacker, modder, and all-around madman KipKay is at it again. The guy who brought us the crazy Mr. Microphone spy hack has managed to figure out an easy way to make dice that roll the same number every single time you roll them.

The incredibly simple trick involves putting the dice in your oven, and melting them just enough so they get a tiny bit heavier on the bottom. Check out the brief tutorial video below to see how you can do this yourself.

Now clearly, I’m not sanctioning the use of this cheat the next time you go to the craps table in Vegas, but it definitely could be fun the next time you have a pickup game of Yahtzee or Monopoly with your friends.

Dhiram over at Newlaunches spotted this Intel video showing the company’s vision of a modern-day casino, one that can be managed remotely, has electronic card tables, Core2Duo-powered slot machines and even handheld gambling devices.

It’s all fancy tech, but I don’t think the current gambling generation will be so impressed or welcoming of the improvements on their end. I mean, if you’ve been playing poker using good ol’ cards for decades, it won’t be that easy to switch to touchscreens won’t it?

Also, isn’t a Core2Duo slot machine just overkill? Will players be able to send instant messages or emails while playing? Will I be able to blog using the slot machine itself while gambling? Will I?

I was heading out for one of my occasional gambling binges this holiday weekend, when what did I see? It looks like online auction house eBay has gotten their very own slot machines.

By the time I managed to stumble my way over from the buffet line, the eBay slots were so busy that I didn’t even manage to donate my money to them.

From what I could tell, they’re those typical nickel slots with tons of perplexing jagged lines which must match up in order to pay the big bucks. Of course, unlike the real eBay, there’s no guarantee that the highest bidder will win anything.

The machines have icons for popular auction categories such as electronics, motors, collectibles and fashion, but they only take (and occasionally dole out) cold hard cash. And while there won’t be any money showing up in your PayPal account, all of the players on the system can win a free spin at the same time, so I guess that’s better than nothing.

Wanna play the eBay slot machines in person? Head on over to the oh-so-addictive new Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, MI (just over an hour East of Chicago).

[Thanks for pointing these out Roadside Scholar!]
