Made from folded laser-cut parchment, the Masked collection consists of four masks that each have at least one “air-purifying respirator with replaceable-cartridge white N95 filters”. Great for Halloween in Metro Manila.

Artist Tom Banwell works with leather and resin to make rayguns, helmets, and absolutely incredible masks like this one. The “ear” is the best part, I think, though the sinister trunk looks like something out of a nightmare. A really stylish, artistic nightmare.

I think it’s safe to say that this friend has quite specific needs. Teriyakimoto obliged, braving the depths of absurdity and the fact that she had no pattern to work with, and returned from her knitting basement with her awesome creation, which was already attached to her friend’s head.

Since she had no pattern, teriyakimoto had to measure her friend’s face to ensure that the mask and hat would fit snugly; they won’t save him from a biochemical attack, but they could at least keep his face warm.

The mask is attached to the hat with velcro (the black stripes on top) so he can easily remove it if he runs into bullies, or if he observes that he can’t breathe well while wearing the mask.
