Carbon Freeze Me will let guests step into a “carbon freezing chamber” which will snap digital images of your face and convert them into a 3D model. These will then be used to create an 8-inch-tall 3D model of the classic Han Solo frozen in carbonite, but with your face replacing Han’s. It’ll cost you $99.95(USD) if you want one, and that also includes a commemorative LED Carbon Freeze Me wristband. Additional 3D figurines can be ordered for $74.95 each.

Carbon Freeze Me will be on hand for four weekends starting on May 18th, 2012 at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. You must reserve a spot in advance by calling 407-WDW-TECH, and placing a credit card deposit.

It’s not like the wax-melting technology to make funky shaped crayons didn’t exist back then either either. Maybe it’s because Etsy didn’t exist yet, but now you can get crayons shaped like just about anything. But if I had to buy a box of crayons today, it wouldn’t be plain old Crayolas, no. It’d be Han Solo, frozen in carbonite.

These awesome Star Wars crayons are made by Etsy seller extramoneyformommy, and they couldn’t be much more perfect. Each one measures about 1-3/4″ tall by 3/4″ wide, and features a tiny Solo, entombed in carbonite. Of course this waxy variant of the stuff comes in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown and black. Just don’t try and melt them to free Han from his captivity. I’m pretty sure he won’t survive.

You can grab a set of 8 crayons now for just $4(USD). Seems like a deal to me. While you’re over there, pick up a set of R2-D2 crayons too.

You see, back in 1983, Craig Smith busted his dad’s soldering iron. So to make things right, he took the parts of the smashed up Bakelite iron and “fixed it.” Well, actually, he improved upon it by turning it into Han Solo’s blaster from A New Hope instead – officially dubbing his creation the Han Solderer.

This thing makes me want to run out and make a whole line of soldering irons based on famous movie and video game weapons. Can you imagine a District 9 prawn rifle or a Mass Effect M8 with a hot metal tip? Greedo, get ready to have your ass melted to the bench!

The tray is made from silicone, not those impossible to crack hard plastic sort, and has six smaller carbonite cubes and one large cube. It’s hard to tell what size the cubes are, but I bet the larger one is more for a punchbowl. I think I would put some grape juice in there and make them look black like the film’s carbonite.

The tray sells for $9.99 (USD) over at Kotobukiya’s website. It is crazy cool though and would be perfect for a Star Wars Blu-ray viewing party or Halloween. I could totally see doing some Jell-O shots out of this thing too. I want one!

That’s why I need to start keeping my business cards in this awesome Han Solo carbonite business card case from Kotobukiya.

The metal case features the likeness of the frozen Solo on the front, along with a largely unnecessary Star Wars logo. While it is pretty cool (pun intended), it would be ice cold if it did away with the logo and Solo were actually embossed into the case. Maybe some enterprising Etsy artist will get to work on that now.

For now, you’ll have to dig around over in Japan if you want one of these, but while you’re at it you might want to also check out R2-D2′s matching business card case, which really should be painted white and blue – but that’s just me.

The details on this thing are scant and no pattern is offered. The pillow apparently measures 16-inches long and 9-inches wide. You can see from the pics that it is a very rough recreation of Solo and his form encased in yarnbonite.

It looks like some sort of voodoo device or perhaps a toy for a baby Hutt to me. Still, it’s a geeky bit of Star Wars DIY that I couldn’t pass up.

This new eBay listing was also made by Komanac for the local art show, Star Wars 33 & 1/3 Anniversary. It’s pretty large, at roughly 24 inches wide, 36 inches long, and 5 inches tall. It weighs somewhere around 4 to 6 pounds.

The aluminum Millennium Falcon has a starting bid of $200 bucks, and nobody has bid on it yet. Shipping this thing is significantly less that what I saw for the AT-AT. Plus, it’s guaranteed to make the Kessel Run in over 12 parsecs.

There’s also an extra cap so that you can play with Luke and Han Solo without the stormtrooper masks, but I think the stormtrooper helmet is much better than hair. They also come preloaded with character-specific Star Wars Mimobot-themed images, wallpapers, and avatars.

From the photos that I’ve seen, this is a pretty good likeness of Solo frozen in carbonite from Empire Strikes Back. Alright, so this is only a bar of soap, not carbonite. Instead, these bars of soap are made from pure olive oil, shea butter, and aloe vera. Still, it’ll make you smile each morning when you get into shower (until it melts).

They are available for $6.50 at Luxury Lane and are actually made by hand! The only bad thing is that he won’t look like Han Solo for long!

All I can think of is that people will be so weirded out after they purchase this that they’ll feel compelled to buy the other, similarly randomly packaged Mighty Muggs. I for one would throw away the Vader figure. Gives me the creeps. Maybe you could cover his face with a miniature paper bag. This and other odd bundles of Star Wars Mighy Muggs are available at Entertainment Earth for an equally odd price of $51 (USD).

The colorful snow sled doesn’t have the battle scars that the real Falcon has seen, but I’m sure after a few wipeouts (or laser cannon blasts from your neighbor with the personal TIE Fighter), you’ll have it looking pretty close. The sled is only big enough to hold one passenger, so you’ll have to decide if you want Chewbacca or Han to fly solo.

Sure, it’s not as cool as the handmade X-Wing Fighter sled, but this one is only $35 bucks and it probably wont’ break into pieces after a single run. Last I checked, the Millennium Falcon sled was out of stock over on Amazon, but you can get yourself on the backorder list so you can get yours just in time for all the snow to melt.

You can completely geek out your kid’s room with all kinds of Star Wars pillows, sheets, duvet covers, and what have you- including my favorite piece (that I might have to grab for my couch) which is a pillow with the iconic opening text.

These official Star Wars pieces are available individually from Pottery Barn Kids. They range from $24 to just under $200 for the various parts, in case you just want a splash o’ Star Wars instead of going the whole hog.

The one thing I do take issue with is that they’re listed under “boys bedding” which is just silly because I know loads of little girls who would totally dig this! You know, I would get a set for myself but I worry that people might think I was a little intense. Or that I looked really really really really old for my age.

I have but one tiny critique, which is that I believe the actual quote is “Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid,” but why split hairs when we’re talking about a masterwork such as this? She used metallic threads for the blaster barrels and lightsaber handles and put it in a pretty frame. She also thoughtfully photographed it for us with Han, looking ever the master of his domain.

Say, this would have been a great wedding gift for those Star Wars-obsessed folks. It would be the perfect addition to their home, I’m sure.

The groom opted for a Mon Calamari mask (interesting choice) while the bride wore traditional republic clothing. (It must be love if you can say “I do” to someone in that mask.) The female officiant appears to be decked out in Leia-when-she-was-enslaved-briefly garb.

I think the absolute best thing is the amazing AT-AT cake with Ewok cupcakes, but I might be biased because I’ve always thought Hoth would be a nice place to winter.

A close second for coolest thing ever is what I infer from these photos to be a part of the wedding ceremony during which the groom vanquished Darth Vader in a lightsaber battle.

I’m impressed these folks made a Star Wars wedding seem classy, fun, and desirable- I didn’t think it could be done- and want to wish them the best for a prosperous and JarJar-free future.
