Mega Man Boss Battle Rubik’s Cube: Still Easier to Finish Than the Video Game

I’ve never been able to solve a Rubik’s cube; the most I can do is “solve” one of the faces. I’m also not good at platformers, nor do I enjoy playing them (but I am really interested in playing Ratchet & Clank). I don’t recall finishing any Mario platformer, but I love Superstar Saga. Which is why I am doubly intimidated by this Mega Man Rubik’s cube, which eschews the conventional color scheme of the cube with scenes from all six boss fights of the NES classic.

If you must know, I was only able to beat Cut Man. Or did I? I think I did. Or did I watch my brother beat Cut Man? Hmm. It shall remain one life’s great mysteries.

Conjoined Rubik’s Cubes Make My Head Spin

Puzzlemasters – if you’ve already figured out how to solve Rubik’s cube in under 9 seconds flat, you’re probably in need of a new challenge. Well here something that should keep you busy for at least 30 seconds. These insane Rubik’s cube derivations combine the power of multiple cubes to provide a really dastardly puzzle challenge.

Shown above is the mother of all puzzles, a conjoined sextuplet of cubes to keep you on your toes. But if you’re more of a puzzle amateur like me, I think the triple should provide ample challenge.

After you finish that, you can graduate on to the quadruplet version.

And then the quintuplet. It’s all a bit like Mr. and Mrs. Rubik took too many fertility drugs.

Hardest Platform Game Ever, and It’s in ASCII

If you’re into platformers and you think you can beat them all, you’ve gotta check out this Flash-based game from Japan, Jineseiowata no Daibouken.

This game will kick you in the ass (twice), then serve it to you for dinner. It’s loaded with all sorts of fun tributes to classic platform games. Best of all it’s all rendered using super-advanced ASCII characters instead of fancy graphics, proving once again that game play is King, not how many polygons you can push.

For those of you without the patience of a saint, some diligent player has posted this walkthrough of a chunk of the game on YouTube (beware of spoilers):
