JoeyBra: Is That an iPhone in Your Bra, or Are You Just Glad to See Me?

I get that women need to carry around their iPhones, but this is the first time that I’ve seen an accessory that will allow you to carry around your iPhone in a bra! It was created to allow women to still have a way to carry their iPhones when they don’t want to have to lug their purses around.

The JoeyBra is being crowdfunded through Kickstarter, and it’s the product of two students from the University of Washington. It looks like it can stash some cash and credit cards as well. Apparently, Kyle and Mariah have done enough research before starting this, so they’re pretty stoked about this. They did a survey among 200 young women and found that 95% had a problem with where to put their belongings while out partying and 73% lost personal items. 88% were interested in hiding away their personal items on their person.

The Kickstarter project has amassed more than half of its $4,000 goal with almost three weeks left for funding. This means that in all likelihood, it will get made. You’ll need to pledge $30(USD) or more to get yours.

I’ve Got One Hand in My Pocket, and an iPhone in My Belt Buckle

A lot of other iPhone cases can make your device look pretty or make it more convenient or more functional. And then there are others that aren’t exactly cases but sort of function in a similar manner, like this belt buckle slash iPhone holster called the EXO7 that lets you slip your device easily into it so you can wear it around your waist. You know, because you’re cool like that.

If you think about it, the buckle/phone holster is a pretty neat idea, although not very fashionable. If you plan on using it sans placing your iPhone inside, then it’s going to look like a huge brass grill got stuck on your belt somehow. The EXO7 comes with several metal attachments, including a metal piece that you can use to loop your belt through the case and a pocket holster, so you can wear it any way you want to on your belt.

The sides of the EXO7 are inlaid with Pau Ferro wood, while the top cover is hinged on with stainless steel components and fitted with a strong rare earth magnet to shut the holster tightly. The case is available in solid brass and rosewood or aluminum and rosewood, and is priced at $300 (USD) on EVOVault’s Etsy store.

A few years back there was an alarming trend of small purse-like accessory bags (also known as “manbags” or “murses”) being carried by metrosexuals in the trendier parts of town. Regardless of how in touch I am with my masculinity, I could never bring myself to point where I would carry one. I eventually ended up with a messenger bag to carry my crap around, which is like a giant man-purse, but that doesn’t count, right? Now, there’s finally a handbag that even Rambo himself would be proud to wear.

While the Koffski No. 1 wallet set will definitely be a deterrent for would-be thieves, don’t be surprised when the police stop you and ask you to get down on your knees and lock your ankles together.

The holster wallet is actually comprised of three pieces, a wallet, a small bag, and a “V” connector, which happen to form something that looks suspiciously like a shoulder carry case for a gun. Made from fine Rugato calfskin, tanned in Tuscany, Italy, this isn’t some cheapie throwaway either.

Be prepared to walk around without any money in your wallet after the purchase, since it will set you back the tidy sum of €349 (appx. $543 USD). Of course, you could always save yourself the $500 bucks and just not carry the cash with you in the first place.
