As you can see, the hoodies have the trademark eagle peak on the hood. It can be folded and tucked back into the hood for when you want to blend in. Personally I say to hell with fitting in. If I had one two of these, I’d have it modified even further to make a Gatchaman costume. Bird, Go!

Unfortunately, the Monteriggioni hoodies are hard to find targets. You can pre-order them from Insert Coin for £35-£40 (~$55-$60 USD) but only if you have a shipping address in UK or Ireland. Guess we’ll just have to be content with stitching a triangular patch of cloth on one of our hoodies.

I have to say that until you flip the hood up on the Boba Fett one, it could actually pass as something pretty fashionable. Of course, once you pop the facemask over your head and you check out the jet pack on back, all bets are off.

On the other hand, if you walk into a bank wearing either the Stormtrooper or Darth Vader hoodies with the facemask zipped up, you’ll get yourself arrested or sprayed with pepper spray quickly – especially if you come wielding a blaster rifle or a red lightsaber.

I have seen some weird and ugly accessories for cell phones before, but this one is right up there. It’s a brown and beige fleece hoodie sized to hold you smartphone like a Blackberry or iPhone. It has a strap so you restrain the folks that roll on the floor laughing at you for buying it that doubles as a shoulder carrier.

The hoodie case measures 4″ top to bottom and is 3.5″ wide. That should mean it could hold just about any smartphone out there. You can pick it up for $9 on Etsy. Makes a great gag gift.

The unusual Hoodiebuddie hoodie has surfaced, and while it is in clear violation of rule number one, it might be of interest to some of you with less stringent requirements for not looking like a goon. The thing looks like a normal hoodie, only the strings for the hood are actually headphones for your music player.

I will say that those strings look weird poked in your ears and someone will think you have just crammed the drawstring in your ears. My 5-year-old daughter would totally get this. I caught her chasing the other kids around the yard when it was cool out in early spring with the strings to her hoodie crammed up her nose. When I asked why she looked at me like I was crazy and said her nose was running and snot tastes gross, which sort of made sense.

It looks pretty cozy and there are even these crazy blades on the side of it as decoration, which makes me even want it more. This TMNT Shredder hoodie is being produced by 80stees and will cost you only $60 (USD).

This Shredder hoodie is based upon the armor of the Shredder, or Oroku Saki. It comes with a neat half-mask, as well as a false cape and spikes protruding from the shoulders and forearms. I really like how the zipper zips up all the way straight over your face to make the mask.

The guys over at enclothe have rolled out the new Marioflage 1-2 hoodie. It’s the perfect complement to that Donkey Kong t-shirt you have sitting in your dresser drawer.

The level 1-2 design features colorful pixelated bricks, coins, ‘shrooms and plants from the underground world of Super Mario Bros. I love the little details like the mushroom zipper pull and the “WARP ZONE!” inside pocket for holding on to your iPod – although I’d try and cram my DS Lite in there.

This isn’t the first time Ecko’s gotten their geek on. They also have a whole line of downright nerdy Star Wars hoodies, and the ODST hoodie is one of eight items in their Halo line, which includes an intensely yellow Master Chief t-shirt and an exceedingly gaudy ODST track jacket.

And while neither Halo nor Ecko is really my style, I still think it’s great that big brand names are backing gaming culture. Plus, $88 isn’t half-bad, price-wise. I mean, that’s how much I pay for a pair of jeans!
