The engineers over at VoiceSignal have put together a prototype voice recognition application for the iPhone that makes it capable what I’ve been dreaming that Apple would add to its iPods for years. The demo application, called “VTunes” shows off voice-based selection of songs…

It was bound to happen sooner or later. A developer going by the screen name Kaisersoze has successfully ported an initial build of MAME to run on Apple’s iPhone. The iPhone version is based on the SDL version of the emulator, which was originally designed to run on Ubuntu Linux…

Sure, it’s old news by now that you can install a Nintendo NES emulator on a hacked iPhone and play classic games. But now, thanks to the hard work of a very industrious web developer, we can play at least one Nintendo classic WITHOUT any special software or hacks…

Now that hackers have started to figure out how to run homebrew code on the iPhone, an early build of an emulator for the classic NES gaming system has shown up on the Google Code website today.
The emulator allows play of games from Nintendo’s 8-bit console using a port of the InfoNES core system…

Apparently, those iPhone demo kiosks in AT&T stores are wolves in sheep’s clothing…
Here’s an interesting thought: When you turn a Windows XP machine on it’s side, does it become an Apple? Apparently, these kiosks are really running on Dell machines and Samsung displays…
