For a good few decades, the sole purpose of the headphone jack on our Walkmans, Zunes, and iPods was so that we had a place to plug in our headphones to enjoy sounds and audio on a more personal level. And that has worked fine, but apparently, Plugys thinks they can also be used to add to the aesthetics of your device.

Everyone, meet the Plugys. Plugys, meet everyone.

If, for some reason, you’d like to turn any one of your media devices that come with a headphone jack into a plant, a faucet, a bolt, a key, a spring, or a mushroom, then go right ahead and order one of these Plugys.

Strapya World adds that the Plugy is also a useful invention, since “it prevents dirt from getting into the earphone jack.” But we’ve gone for so long without plugging these quirky Plugys into our devices, and I don’t feel like that dirt did much damage on my iPod. What about you?

Anyhow, each of these Plugys go for ¥400 ($4.90), so if you’d like to pre-order one (or two or three or all six), then head right on over to Strapya World.

Do you spend a ton of time squished between the wall behind your A/V equipment, plugging and unplugging cables? Then have I got a T-shirt for you.

The backside of the “AV” t-shirt by Olly Moss offers more audio-visual connectors than you’ll probably ever need – at least analog ones. And just like the real deal, there’s a handy headphone jack and standby switch on the front of the shirt.

The tee offers a wealth of virtual RCA audio inputs and outputs, ample component and digital audio inputs, and even a couple of SCART connectors for those of you in Europe. Too bad there’s only 2 HDMI inputs. You can never have enough HDMI inputs, IMHO. And what’s with the composite, S-video and VGA connectors? C’mon, get into the new millennium already!

You AV geeks can grab the AV t-shirt over at Threadless for $18 bucks. Giant sizes are currently sold out, so you’d better get cracking if you still want one of these.
