The classes are run by Flynn Michael, who doesn’t seem to teach an actual fighting technique so much as share the style and choreography of lightsaber battles from the Star Wars prequels. Obviously the biggest draw about the club is the community, meeting and playing with other fans. Because no Padawan wants to role play alone. Here’s a short feature on the club by Diagonal UK:

While I wish you had to slash it with a lightsaber to shut it off, they decided that you’re supposed to throw it across the room in order to shut the alarm off. I suppose that’s a good way to get your aggression out first thing in the morning, but I’d be afraid that I’d break it (or something else in its path of destruction.) It’s not like it looks like this thing is made from rubber after all.

To make your morning routine more challenging, be sure to wear a helmet with the blast shield down when you reach for it.

The Jedi Training Remote Alarm Clock should be out this April/May. I haven’t found a U.S. retailer yet, but they are available for pre-order now over at Australia’s Frontline Hobbies for $29.99 (AUS) (~$32 USD) and at UK seller ForbiddenPlanet for £19.99 (~$31 USD).

His minimal Star Wars characters remind me of Mega Man, which is appropriate since they’re supposed to be in Mega Star Wars. The funniest thing is that when I take my glasses off, the images become smooth, and less pixelated, which is cool, but reminds me that my eyesight is gradually going.

I wonder if we’ll ever end up playing as these characters in some retro platformer on Xbox Live. I sure hope so.

This battle between good and evil was staged on Tuesday, December 20th, 2011, and involved about 100 or so people having a good old lightsaber-battle. Of course, the Jedi had blue sabers and the Sith donned red ones.

It must have been pretty awesome to witness up close, especially if you’re a Star Wars fan. Would you have wanted to be a Jedi or a Sith?

All that’s left to decide is how you’re going to fit in enough time to mess with The Old Republic while still playing Skyrim 100 hours a month.

Anyway, someone called 911. Officers tried to arrest the man, but he kept swinging the lightsabers at them. One tried to use his Taser but the device didn’t work. This was likely the result of his force powers. Another officer successfully used his Taser, but the lightsaber deflected the wires.

Eventually he was arrested and taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation. I have heard that some of the hospital staff claim to have seen him talking with holograms. I wonder if he was asking for Obi Wan Kenobi’s help.

Apparently, journalists have vastly differing opinions on whether Jedi Knights are Libertarians, Socialists, or Sensible Centrists. Although there’s nothing in there about the Tea Party or the Whigs.The crazy thing about the article is that it tells us how there are over 390,000 followers of the Jedi faith in the UK – according to recent census results. England even has a Jedi Member of Parliament. I wonder how many Jedis there are in the US?

These Jedi bath robes are made from soft cotton velour, which is the first thing that comes to mind when I think “Jedi”. As a matter of fact, I think Old Ben Kenobi once said something like “A Jedi can feel the Force flowing through his velour robe.” But I could be remembering the line wrong.

Knowing what it’s made of, you can easily make and possibly even sell your own version of lightsaber nunchucks. Just know that the glowing part is supposed to be pure energy, so if you really had a pair of lightsaber nunchucks, you can only hold them once. And then you won’t be able to hold anything at all.

These cotton knit baseball jerseys from Drew Pearson Marketing feature the strongest of the strong in Soul Calibur. I meant in Star Wars. The Jedi jersey’s number is done in felt applique,while the letters are in tackle twill with satin stitch embroidery. I don’t know what that means but you might. What’s weird though is that the only available  sizes are M, L, XL and XXL. Come on Drew Pearson Marketing. Yoda is XXXS. A bit of respect here.

If you like playing for the dark side, then the Sith jersey is for you. It’s also a cotton knit jersey with all numbers and letters done in felt applique. Both Sith and Jedi jerseys have “official woven loop” Star Wars labels on them. What makes the label official? I don’t know. Trade Federation approval?

The Vader hockey jersey is more Dark Side-y than the baseball one. It has “flaming Vader” graphics, and on the sleeves there are tiny “Sith League” logos set off by metal studs. And on the front is a mugshot of a genocidal man.

The project is from Instructables user Ricardoaraujo, and utilizes cutting-edge LED and AA battery technologies. Admittedly in parts the thing starts looking a little complicated but I’m sure you can soldier through and get ‘er done.
