Sometimes, the fact that the Nintendo DS is region-free really comes in handy, even for folks who can’t read a single Japanese character. You don’t have to read a thing to do jigsaw puzzles so long as you can make your way through the menus. And it’s not like any English-language game is going to have a title as epic as Yukkuri Tanoshimi Taijin no Jigsaw Puzzle DS Watase Seizou – Love Umi to Blue.

Jigsaw puzzles on a console or handheld doesn’t sound that exciting until you factor in the touchscreen capabilities of the DS, and even then, it all depends on sorting the pieces. A game like this has the potential to be really fun, though, and without all the potential mess of a real puzzle.

Looks like you’ll be tilting the screen this way and that pretty often, but that would be par for the course with any jigsaw puzzle game, I think.
