The stealth armor is blue – instead of the usual red and gold, so that’s a winner in my book. The eyes and uni-beam light up. The overall bust has got a lot of details, so it will feel at home on the desk of any geek or geekette. The bust measures 10 inches in height and is hand-painted. You’ll have to act quick though. There are only 1,500 of these babies available.

The special case can be pre-ordered in Japan only and will cost you a whopping $1,270 [JP]. Naturally, these cases are part of a limited edition from Softbank, and there are a total of 6 different models which will be produced just 500 times each. That’s about 3.8 million dollars in business for Softbank if you’re counting.

These cases will start shipping in April and if you’re dying for one, you should try contacting Rinkya or Geek Stuff 4 U. Personally, I’m not that interested in spending over a Grand on an iPhone case, are you?

Say what you will about the absurdity of the concept, but I think we can all agree that this is one fine-looking timepiece. To up the ante, Romain Jerome will make no more than one of this special watch, and it will come with a certificate of authenticity confirming that it contains Eyjafjallajökull’s vomit.

We don’t know how much it will cost, but we’re sure we can’t afford it anyway. Here’s a little tip to whoever snags the watch: don’t wear it around Europeans – especially in airports.

As you can see, the bezels were intentionally rusted, or, to use a fancy word, oxidized. A special coating has been applied to the bezels to prevent further rusting. Now the bezels in the limited limited edition Tourbillon Steampunk Ala Grande (Romain Jerome sure know how to name their products) are not only rusted, they’re “studded with 80 hand-applied rivets and have four bolts that resemble watertight hatches.”

I honestly think that honoring a notorious and deadly ship is questionable at the very least. Nonetheless, this is one kick ass watch with looks  that match its undisclosed yet no doubt titanic price tag. Only 9 Tourbillon Steampunk Ala Grande watches were made. Because there are only 9 people in the world who can afford the thing. Kidding.

A hundred years from now, Romain Jerome will be releasing the Recession Clusterfrack Ala Grande, watches with bits of concrete from the buildings of Circuit City, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Still kidding. I hope.

Why would a $750 iPod still count as a good deal? Because if you buy the complete works of the Bachman separately, it’ll run you close to $1,500. And that’s without the iPod. Passionato sweetens the deal by including a copy of all of the Bachmusic in the form of 3 DVDs, so even if you lose the Bachpod, you’ll still have your Bachup. Pada-bish!

Also, even with the complete works stuffed in it the iPod still has 63 Gb of disk space left. Just add Skid Row and the Bachpod is truly complete. As for the music, Passionato says, “Renowned Bach conductor Helmuth Rilling is joined by Thomas Quasthoff, Christoph Prégardien, Christine Schäfer and many other fantastic soloists, ensembles, choirs and orchestras on this truly outstanding set of award-winning recordings from prestigious German label Hänssler.”

It’s a bit disappointing however that the songs are only encoded in 128 kb AAC. Also, Passionato says that the box set includes “headphones”, but does not mention the brand or the model. But still, the savings alone is enough if you’re planning on collecting the Bachman’s music anyway. If you’re already sold on this and you want to get it by Christmas, make sure to place your order before December 15.

What I really want, not that anyone cares, is a Bachmobile. But if that’s just a horse-drawn carriage  then never mind.

Impressed yet? There’s more to love and drop jaws at: each of the 50 units is made of 9 layers of birch wood and was silkscreen printed by hand by Parra. Awesome isn’t enough to describe the awesomeness of the artwork on these babies. It’s unencapsulable in currently existing words. They’re like moj&Y*&wgl3e. Or [^INJ^%$AYT. Or unencapsulable. [Ed: Is that even a word?]

Some of you corny people might be thinking, “Wooden headphones? Pssh. They wooden sound great.” Fortunately the headphones are equipped with “30mm Ultrasone® mylar drivers which have a frequency range of 20-20,000hz and an impedance of output of 35 ohms.” My vast amount of knowledge in audio science tells me 35 ohms = great. I mean just the word “ohms” sounds great. “Impedance” sounds so negative though.

I’m not sure if they’re sold out because all The Perfect Unison’s site says is that they’ll soon have new designs for everyone to want. Ltdhype says that the headphones are available exclusively at The Lazy Dog Shop, so if you know where or what the hell that is, go check it out. The Perfect Unison x Parra collaboration sells for €349 (approx. $450). Ohms ohms ohms.
