The Spinner 360 is a Lomo camera that allows you to take 360 degree panoramic shots, in complete low-tech style. The camera spins around, thanks to a handy drawstring, capturing one long image. Now, why didn’t I think of that? It’s an interesting addition to any lomographer’s arsenal.

The Spinner 360 uses 35mm film and spins its lens around, thanks to the aforementioned drawstring. You can decide whether to use 1/125 or 1/250 of a second or release it slower so that you can capture longer exposure footage, all in 360 degrees on a single strip of film. It even allows you to capture vertical panoramas. This low-tech approach to panoramas is certainly something uncanny, especially when you see the results.

Spinner 360 sells from Lomography.com starting at just $99 (USD). Pictured here is the special edition, covered in Italian toledo leather – which currently goes for $149.

I usually lug around a DSLR, but if I had something like this in my pocket, I might take loads more photos. The Minimo-X is the second generation of the Minimo camera, and it’s basically a toy camera, like many of the plastic ones already available. The distinction is that the Minimo cameras are digital and produce cool visual effects.

The Minimo-X offers a lo-fi tunnel effect and the ability to do double exposures, so it’s not just all cuteness. It comes with a 1-inch LCD screen, and it’s only 3.2 megapixel resolution, so probably less than your phone.

Weighing just 1.1 oz and measuring less than 2″ tall, it’s just the right size to pop onto your keychain, and take with you everywhere though. The cool thing is that it’s like a digital Lomo, so there’s plenty of cool artistic things you can do with it.

The Minimo-X camera is available over at Photojojo! now for $130 (USD).

Lomo has released a new ultra-wide angle camera, the LC-Wide. If you love wide angle photography, and you’re yearning for something more analog, then look no further than the Lomo LC-Wide Camera. If you’ve already got an LC-A+ camera, then you can also get yourself their wide angle lens , that’s compatible with their LC-A+camera line. The lens will allow you to take impressive photos of buildings and the like with their retro film cameras. Digital is cool, but sometimes, analog is just as fun.

Lomo has also a few new packages available, that will bundle most of the gear you need to get you started, with the base camera kit running $250. The new LC-Wide kit starts out at $390. The 17mm lens costs $150 (USD) and will allow photographers to take 20mm super wide-angle shots. I also like the Instant Back that will transform your Lomo into a Polaroid camera.

While taking a look through their shop, it’s easy to spend a few hundred bucks on these cool cameras. It’s a nice change from the DSLR that I’ve gotten used to, although I really have my eye on a medium format Hasselblad.

Francesco calls this his Mini Lomo Pinhole, and although it really isn’t a Lomo, it’s incredibly small and cute, and this tiny pinhole camera can actually take pictures, which is even cooler.

Here’s an example what the photos that this little camera take look like. It looks pretty interesting and I want one. Actually, I want 10 – because at this size, they’ll get scrunched up in my pocket pretty quickly.

Lomography’s new Diana Multi-Pinhole Operator allows users to use up to 3 pinholes in one shot. The pinholes create a ripple, cross-eyed effect that only worsens becomes crazier once you add the color filters to the mix. The Diana Multi-Pinhole Operator has a focal length of 29 mm, a pinhole diameter of 0.277 mm and an f/128 F stop. View angle is 103 degrees, but thanks to the pinholes you can take a panoramic shot. A sort of panoramic shot. The weird, dizzying kind.

The camera uses 120 film, but if you want to use the cheaper 35 mm film you can get the 35mm Back+ attachment. Here’s a sample shot that used 3 pinholes but no color filters:

Isn’t that what characters in movies see when they’re high, poisoned, or suffering from heatstroke? But that’s a wall of white compared to this one:

Now we’re going through the rabbit hole. By the way, the Diana Multi-Pinhole Operator is as analog as it gets, as it doesn’t even have a shutter or a lens. It has a switch under the front barrel for selecting how many pinholes you want to use, then you a lever that you lower to let light in, then raise to stop light from coming in. It couldn’t be harder. I meant simpler.

How’s that for a panorama. You can get the Diana Multi-Pinhole Operator for only $65 USD at Lomography. Barf bag not included.

Looking for a new way to unleash your creative freedom? Check out this wacky camera which lets you combine multiple images onto a single frame of film.

The Lomo Split-Cam uses special adjustable light blockers which let you prevent the top, bottom, left or right section of standard 35mm film from being exposed before advancing to the next frame. A matching set of blinders on the viewfinder let you see exactly what your cropped areas will look like.

Sure, you can put the head of your cat on the body of your dog, but if you really want to see some creative uses, check out the Flickr Split-Cam gallery for lots of nifty multiple exposure techniques.

You can find the Split-Cam over on FredFlare for just $20 bucks.

The Diana camera was a really cheap plastic camera that was made by the Great Wall Plastic Factory in Hong Kong in the 1960s. At the time, it was just that, a piece of junk. But over the years artists have discovered that the crummy little camera’s flaws ended up producing some really dreamy imagery.

Loaded with light leaks, and a propensity to shoot slightly out-of-focus images, the camera shoots on glorious old 120 roll film. No megapixels or flash memory here. Just cool, artsy-fartsy photos.

The original Diana went out of production over 25 years ago. So to bring back the magic to a whole new generation of artists, the gurus at Lomography have dusted off the original camera design and are starting to manufacture Dianas all over again. They’ve added a couple of tweaks to the original, including a 4 F-stop settings and removable lens for pinhole shots, but otherwise the cameras look remarkably unchanged.

Set to ship this October, Unica Home is taking pre-orders now for the $50 “new” Diana camera.

Here’s a great find for the photo enthusiast in your life. These Soviet-era camera kits from LOMO let you build your own 35mm camera and other photographic gear.

The Lomo Meccano Erector set is a complete kit that lets you build five different photographic devices. In addition to the classic LOMO camera, you can assemble a negative film viewer, film enlarger, a slide projector and a magnifying glass (though I don’t think there’s much “building” involved in that one.)

The Lomographic Society has a limited stock of just 100 of these very rare pieces that date back to the late 1980′s Russia. While it won’t keep up with today’s digital marvels, it’s a fascinating piece of history that’s well worth the $125 price tag.

The Oktomat takes 8 photos over the course of 2.5 seconds, and exposes them onto separate sections of a single 35mm frame. The artistic possibilities are quite endless with this cool camera, and you can even turn your multi-photo sequences into an animation using a tool provided on the Lomography website. The Lomo Oktomat camera is just $40 bucks, so what are you waiting for?
