Libratone AirPlay Sound System: Stylish Airplay Stereos

Libratone has released some new AirPlay-compatible speaker systems for you iPad, iPhone and iPods. The brand is pretty popular in Europe, and they’ll soon be launching some AirPlay-enabled sound systems in the US. Their products aren’t cheap, but they’ll fit into a modern pad, and they’ll probably please users who like minimalism.

There are two models, the Libratone Live and the Libratone Lounge. Thanks to Apple’s AirPlay, users can stream songs from their iTunes music libraries, on either a Mac or PC, to the stereo. This will also work on iOS devices via a Wi-Fi network. The Libratone Lounge is the larger version, while the Live is the smaller one that can be moved around.

You can choose a few different colors, from slate gray, blood orange, lime green, black, and vanilla beige to match your surroundings. The Libratone Lounge starts at $1,299 (USD) while the smaller Libratone Live sells for $699.

Spell It Out With Tabisso’s Typographic Lounge Furniture

The way I see it, nothing beats having furniture that is not only comfortable and functional, but also adds to the aesthetics and identity of your home or office.

You might remember those Binary Chairs by BRC, which looked extremely cool but pretty darned uncomfortable. That’s where Tabisso’s Typographic Lounge Furniture and Lamps gets a leg up, because although the design is relatively simple, the things that you can do with them are endless.

These would definitely be chairs that will turn heads. Aside from looking like giant alphabet marshmallows, these lounge chairs look so comfortable at the same time.

The best part is that you can spell out anything you please with them, which is kind of the whole point of this line of furniture. Do you own a yoga place? No problemo.

Each of these pieces are made in France and prices are subject to individual quotes. Only one font face is available, although you can customize each of these aspects for your own chairs: the type of upholstery, the wooden shell, and the footing. Lounge Light Projector: for a Splash of Color Anywhere

In my recent quest for unique lighting fixtures, I came across this minimal LED light source out of Germany.

The tiny fixture has a bright color-changing LED projector at the end of a flexible gooseneck. The light head clips onto a special 4.5-volt battery base that can provide up to 150 hours of illumination. If you see a color you like, just press the color hold button to freeze at the currently selected hue. Thanks to its LED illumination source, the Lounge Light has an estimated life expectancy of about 100,000 hours, so you don’t need to worry about burning out bulbs.

The Lounge Light Projector is just $15.95 with additional batteries selling for $15.95 for a pack of six.
