In addition to spreading out the Pop-Tart-cat-farting-a-rainbow across 4 magnets of his own, you’ll also get such classics as the Trollface, Rage Guy, Philosoraptor and Insanity Wolf among others.

This is disaster waiting to happen right here. I can understand the need for people to mount their iPad in strange places. If you are in the kitchen cooking it might be nice to mount your shiny new iPad 2 on the fridge, where you can read or watch video while you cook.

One geek has figured out that the magnets in that cool new iPad 2 Smart Cover are strong enough to hold the svelte tablet to the fridge door. The problem I see if that the stuff hanging on my fridge randomly crashes to the floor about every three days.

I would hate to see the iPad 2 crash to the floor because you were too cheap to buy a proper dock – or one of these – for your $500+ iToy. If you are the sort that doesn’t mind living on the edge now you know you can stick the iPad 2 up there like a piece of kid’s artwork.

Now kongscut has competition, from no less than ThinkGeek, which is now selling official, licensed Minecraft magnets.

ThinkGeek’s offering a total of 160 1-inch tiles in each pack, most of them being brick, wood, stone, dirt and cobblestone tiles. You can check out the full list at the product page.

ThinkGeek is selling the official Minecraft Magnets for $20 (USD) per pack. Of course, nothing’s stopping you from mixing and matching the tiles from this and from Kongscut’s pack. They both have 1″ tiles anyway, plus Kongscut’s 2nd pack has something that the official pack doesn’t have – mobs.

How interesting is the furniture in your house? Looking around, mine is pretty bland. Don’t get me wrong, it’s decent stuff for the most part, it’s just not terribly interesting. I mean, I don’t have an NES controller for a coffee table or anything. Well if you’re on the lookout for an end table that will be a conversation piece, this Float Table will do just that.

The Float Table from RockPaperRobot is comprised of 64 blocks of wood, which appear to be floating independently of one another. They actually are, for the most part. A bit of steel cabling runs between them all, but they are primarily held in place by magnetic force. This make the table “sturdy, yet capricious.” For the $2,000 asking price, this conversation piece had better start some really good discussions.

The beauty of this project is that if done right, you’ll be able to slide the pieces around on the board, because they’ll be held in place by magnets. So if you’re patient enough you can actually recreate an entire stage – or world, or the whole game, and then physically control Mario!

Minecraft is officially the sleeper game hit of 2010. Heck it’s still in Alpha, has sold over 600,000 copies to date, and has nearly 2 million registered players. So what better way to show that you’re a Minecraft fanboy or girl but to bring its awkwardly rudimentary pixelated world to your kitchen with these Minecraft refrigerator magnets.

Created by Etsy seller kongscut, the sampler set comes with 64 1-inch square magnets, each representing one of the primitive materials from the game. The set includes stone, sand, dirt, leaves, grass, water, and other environmental materials – including my favorite – lava. Of course, they include 18 of the stone ones, and just 1 of the lava ones. I want more hot molten magma! You’ll notice that the set is called “Set #1″, so presumably kongscut will be releasing more – perhaps some of the other block types.

They’re definitely a cool geek gift, and well worth the $10 bucks for the set. Grab a set over at Etsy now.

I have two kids and therefore we have lots of stuff that hangs on the refrigerator. We have lunch menus, artwork, and lots of other crap up there. Most of the junk hangs on the fridge with plain old magnets or the few letters leftover from the magnetic letter set my daughter mostly slipped into the gap between the fridge and the cabinet.

What I need is a new set of magnets, but not just any magnets mind you. I want magnets that anyone who walks in will see and know a geek lives here (as if they couldn’t tell by the gobs of gadgets in the house). The perfect magnets are these App Magnets from Jailbreak Toys.

These things look like the icons on the iPhone home screen, but are just different enough that Jobs and his legal ninjas might not pounce on the maker. Each little magnet is 7/8″ by 7/8″ and made of epoxy. You can get your own set right now for $12.99 (USD).

If you’re curious about what’s really kicking in your holiday food this season, these chemical magnets will shed a little light on the science behind the flavor (and decorate your fridge). Love garlic? Thank the allicin–and celebrate it by plastering it to a metal surface.

You can feed people and educate them at the same time. That’s the most fun (and nutritious) way of bringing new geeks into the fold.

This set of four celebrates the spicier elements in your kitchen: allicin (garlic), piperine (pepper), oleocanthal (olive oil), and my favorite, capsaicin (peppers), but Etsy crafter anandi’s store is packed with all sorts of items that celebrate the best in food… and in holiday cheer, too. This set of four magnets is available for $12. Actual food sold separately.

If they haven’t yet invaded your kitchen yet, you’ll want to grab these Invaders magnets for your fridge.

In all, the set comes with 56 individual pieces, including 50 aliens, 4 defense bunkers, 1 UFO, and a laser cannon for wiping out the aliens. Lauren of LostMitten handstitched each one of these pixelated pieces, then attached a felt backing and a strong magnet to keep them up on your fridge.

For some stupid reason, the front of my stainless steel refrigerator won’t hold magnets, but I’d be willing to go back to a plain old white fridge if I could cover it with these.

You can find the complete set over on Etsy for $55 (USD). While that might sound pricey for fridge magnets, that’s less than $1 a magnet. Think about how much time it would take you to needlepoint and cut out 56 tiny magnets, and then get back to me. And if you really can’t handle that kind of spend, you can find smaller sets over on LostMitten’s shop for as little as $12 bucks.

Each of Spooons’ handmade refrigerator magnets features the pixel-perfect likeness of a retro gaming icons, carefully color-matched and precisely scaled to match the exact proportions of the originals. With enough of these on your fridge, you can recreate complete scenes from the original games.

As an added bonus, they get their stickiness using strong neodymium rare earth magnets, so these suckers shouldn’t fall off your fridge when you slam the door. In case your ice box is on the fritz (or you just don’t have one), you can pick up the same game characters in button form, so you can wear ‘em on your clothes or backpack.

Both the magnets and buttons measure 1.5″ in diameter, and magnet sets will set you back around $10 to $12, while the buttons sell for $8 to $10 a set. Check out the full collection over on Spooons’ Etsy shop.
