While this little guy could just hang out on your desk looking cool, he’s much more interested in helping out instead of just sitting around doing nothing. Not only can he function as a brilliant desk lamp, he can hold on to your iPod when you’re not keeping it in your pocket.

Industrial design shop Sumajin’s 12-inch tall FLEX Light Bearer has a pair of adjustable hands which can hang on to an included lighting fixture, or can be swapped out for grippy hands which hold your media player while it’s charging or syncing. If you’re looking for a bit more of a mood light, he’ll hold a tea light candle instead of an electric lamp.

FLEX is made from ABS plastic and comes in three colors: white, black and silver. At a rather pricey $200, he’s not for everyone, but if money isn’t an object, you can find him at Sumajin.

Strange Speakers Look Like Little Dead Guy

It’s been a while since I’ve seen speakers that looked quite this strange. Designed to be your “little dead desktop buddy”, they look like something that your neighborhood dominatrix might have sitting next to her computer.

The oddly-named Dutch Dead Bbudd speaker system looks like some sort of naugahyde-wrapped dude with his eyes X’d out. The speakers are embedded into his feet, pumping out the tunes as he sits on your desk.

As Bbudd is a dead guy, it only makes sense that he’s a passive (non-amplified) speaker system. So if you like your speakers a little on the kinky side, you can grab the little dead guy over at Kado-Fix for €24,95 (appx. $38 USD).

Little Dude Could be My Favorite USB Hub Ever

There’s something that’s just right about this USB hub. The little guy strikes a near-perfect balance between design, simplicity and functionality (although that’s the one place it falls a little short).

Kikkerland’s USB Hub Man has flexible wire arms and legs with a port at the end of each one. His body houses all the electronics and a tiny green power indicator LED in place of a heart.

The only bummer about Hub Man is that only one of his ports runs at USB 2.0 speeds without a special adapter. Hopefully, they’ll make him fully high-speed compliant in the future.
