I think it’s that they sort of remind me of Inception – in doll form. You know, a doll within a doll within a doll. Now you can get some really special geeky matroyshka, in the form of robots.

Open up the biggest robot, and you’ll find a smaller one inside, and another, and another. They come in a set of six nesting robot dolls, and would be a great addition to any cubicle toy collection. I don’t know why, but they all sort of remind me of Bender. Maybe they’re his cousins. After all, they do all have shiny metal asses (made out of ABS plastic).

I spotted these on the crafster forums. The ever-clever RhymeswOrange crocheted them by hand, and each one has a different felty face! My favorite has got to be this guy with Pacman hands who’s working the snazzy sunglasses.

I gotta say, if our robot overlords are as cute as these robotroyshka dolls, I think I can handle it.
