You have many options when it comes to finding that perfect Valentines Day gift for him or her. You could go the traditional route with flowers and chocolates, maybe get them that special gadget, or even make something. I don’t recommend you make this tasty treat. I’m pretty sure it sends the wrong message.

…unless the message you want to send is “eat my shorts,” of course. But if you are feeling brave, you can make these edible briefs in three easy steps. Just season some ground beef and create some sheets of it. Then carve up your these sheets into sections using your own briefs as a template. Then you just tie it together with Slim Jim string.

Lastly, present it to your Valentine and prepare to get smacked upside the head. Very simple process. But don’t. Really, just don’t!

The Super Bowl is almost upon us. That means that people are getting ready and buying their snacks. Wives and girlfriends are getting ready to bake all kinds of special football treats for the guys. Well, you can all just stop. No matter what you do, this single-serving deli platter shaped like a football stadium has you beat.

Just stop now and throw in the towel. This thing is the Holy Grail of football food setups. Of course it won’t last more than a few minutes if you have your football buddies over. Still, it’s a work of unhealthy artery clogging art and I wish I could dig into it right now.

Amazingly, this isn’t the only one. See images of five other meat stadiums here. I’m not really into Football, but seeing this is starting to change my mind. I gotta see what my friends are serving up this year.

When I was a kid, my mom and I would make homemade pizzas and decorate the pie in such a way that the different ingredients and toppings would form a certain object or face. One of the hardest pizza paintings we managed to pull off was the Mona Lisa. I mean, obviously it doesn’t look exactly like Da Vinci’s lady with the small smile and the secretive expression, but that little pepperoni-encrusted pie was always my favorite master-pizza of all time.

I’m too old to play pizza artist with my mom nowadays, but apparently, food art is still very much alive and kicking. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the Meaty Mona Lisa.

That’s right, folks: this huge portrait that’s aiming to replicate Da Vinci’s most famous work is made entirely out of meat. Aleksandr Solomko created this delectably raw piece of art using over 20 kilograms of sliced meat for a meat processing plant in southern Russia called Tavr. I just wonder what they did with all that meat after the Mona Lisa was displayed.

Scientists in the Netherlands managed to create artificial meat using muscle cells extracted from a live pig combined with “a broth of other animal products”, which allowed the muscle cells to multiply and form muscle tissue. Yummy. But the scientists still have quite a ways to go from producing bacon in a petri dish.

The artificial meat is described as “soggy pork”: “What we have at the moment is rather like wasted muscle tissue. We need to find ways of improving it by training it and stretching it, but we will get there”, says Mark Post, professor of physiology at Eindhoven University.

Exercising pig muscles when they’re not attached to the rest of the pig? – Quite a stumper indeed. I don’t know how far this experiment is going to go, but if it succeeds this is going to cause drastic changes worldwide. Meat may become cheaper, but at the same time a lot of people could lose their jobs if we don’t need to rely on live animals for meat. Would you eat lab meat?

It is said that Jesus is the King of Kings, and that three kings visited him when he was born. So what better way to get into the holiday spirit than to plaster a huge strip of bacon – made from The Meat of Kings (try it with onion rings) - on your screen while you’re surfing?

Just add “http://bacolicio.us/” to the beginning of any site’s URL and boom! BACON!

So for example you want to baconify TIME’s website, just type http://bacolicio.us/http://time.com. Look at that strip of goodness. The only thing better than that is a picture of woven bacon. OR a baconized picture of woven bacon. OR real bacon.
