Prince of Persia in Glorious LEGO Form

The guys over at LEGO-fan site Brothers Brick came across these new LEGO sets based on this Summer’s much-anticipated Prince of Persia: Sands of Time motion picture.

The three sets range from a modest 258 piece kit for $29.99 (USD), all the way up to an enormous 821 piece set called the “Battle of Almut,” priced at $79.99. You can get all three sets over at Toys R Us now.

While you can’t see rippling muscles on Jake Gyllenhal’s tiny minifig body, he definitely has the facial stubble and mop-top befitting a tiny action hero. I mean what’s the last time you saw a LEGO set that includes a giant spinning saw blade and a guy coming at you with a pair of snakes? Get your credit cards out now.

The Lone Wanderer in Brickville [Fallout 3]

With all the attention Borderlands is getting, I feel it’s important to remember that other futuristic game with important vaults: Fallout 3. And what better way to remember anything than with LEGO?

And, of course, the best thing to immortalize in brick from from Fallout 3? The two-headed mutant cattle (and shotguns). Add in a Deathclaw and I’ll declare myself BioniSean’s biggest fan.

Actually, on second thought? Hold the Deathclaws.

BioniSean’s Flickr stream has a number of interesting projects for the LEGO fan to peruse, including Star Wars-themed projects, and that staple favorite: zombies!

Briiiiicks in LEGO 4 Dead

Four brave survivors must stand against the tide of an undead minifig army. Armed with few weapons, two unfortunately bald heads, and a bag full of snappy one-liners, they will repel the brick zombies.

Alright, take a moment to admire the beauty and detail. From a distance, this Lego rendition looks pretty good, eh? You’ve got rubble, proper outfits, shadows… the works.

But take a look at it up close.

Francis has tattoos! Louis is down! All we need is Bill’s very sticky cigarette and this is about perfect. And a van. And Francis complaining about the van. And maybe a Boomer.

Okay, can I request that the entire game be recreated in Lego?

LEGO Reindeer-Bot Brings Creepy to Christmas

While no one can fault the crafstmanship or creativity of this Lego Reinbot, there’s just something about him that’s a little lacking in joviality. He’s got sinister style in spades, though, and while I like him, I’m pretty sure he thinks I’ve been naughty.

Maybe it’s the giant red nose, or the lack of soft, welcoming lines, but this particular reindeer looks like he hauls Futurama‘s terrifying Robot Santa around. That’s no fun at all.

But maybe it’s just that they’re both Christmas-y robots. Regardless of my personal fear of holiday robots, Lego master Sir Nadroj–who has many other custom Lego minifigs on display at his Flickr site–put together a fantastic metallic(ish) critter for the holidays, and even though Christmas has passed, we’ve got enough leftover spirit lying around to appreciate the effort.
