If you are a UFO or conspiracy nut, prepared to get tweaked. The FBI tosses documents up on its FBI Vault website all the time. One of the latest documents to hit that Vault site is circa 1950 and has to do with the infamous Roswell crash that many allege was a UFO crash.

The document was written by FBI investigator Guy Hottel, and recounts his talk with what the letter calls an “investigator for the Air Forces.” The name of the investigator has been redacted. The memo goes on to claim that the Air Force found a crashed UFO of a saucer shape that was 50-feet in diameter.

The memo goes on to say that the Air Force believed that the powerful radar it was operating in the area was the cause of the crash. Also noted was the collection of three humanoid bodies that were about three feet tall. Hoax or not, this is a very strange memo to turn up on a government website.

I was surfing around looking for something entirely different, when I spotted this odd Space Invaders arcade game over on 4Gamer.net.

I have no idea what the gameplay is like, but I imagine it has something to do with pressing those big pink and blye buttons at the bottom of the console.

The best translation I was able to come up with was “Specifications against two people were ‘happy button 2′, the four stations will be introduced gradually from Taito Mon”. Well, that explains it all.

That’s about all I’ve got. Anyone want to take a stab at figuring out how the heck you’d play this game? Feel free to improvise.

If you like adventure games, things that are pretty, or just having an interesting experience in general, then listen up: maybe, just maybe, there’s gonna be a sequel to Hotel Dusk, the gorgeous graphic detective game. In Japan, the game was known by the snappy title Wish Room: Angel’s Memory, and the Japanese sequel is set to feature the stunning title Last Window: Midnight Promise, but $20 says any localized sequels will just be called Hotel Dusk 2: Subtitle Here.

Oh well. At least we’ll be treated to more of the game’s beautiful art… and it’s not like there’s anything wrong with the title Hotel Dusk!

The sequel is due in Japan in January, and of course, there’s no word yet on localization, but the first game was well-received and developer Cing has a following here. Nintendo published the first game themselves, so I’d be willing to bet someone will take a chance on bringing the further mysterious adventures of Kyle Hyde to parts outside Japan.

The guys over at Yanko Design came across this mysterious miniature vehicle called ROCK.

Created by Mexico City industrial designer Alberico J. Camacho, the ROCK dons a tiny Nissan logo, and looks something like an oversize bowling ball on wheels. Or maybe the Dark Helmet that Rick Moranis wore in Spaceballs.

Yanko thinks ROCK might be some kind of interactive music player, something like the Sony Rolly. I’d rather dream big. I say it’s the first generation of vehicles for felines. I bet there are electrodes in there that plug directly into your cat’s tiny brain, which let your orange tabby become a yellow cabbie (see what I did there?). Go, Toonces!

Of course, my all my hopes and dreams of kitty traffic jams were shattered when I stumbled onto Alberico’s portfolio over on Coroflot. Turns out the ROCK isn’t a miniature car at all, but a scale model prototype for a concept car that Camacho worked up for Nissan.

Apparently, the car is designed for the Guitar Hero/Rock Band crowd, and comes complete with a trunk that appears to hold nothing but a guitar.

It’s still a pretty cool design, and I like it much better than those squared off “Cube” cars that are rolling off the assembly lines these days. But damn, what will my cat do to get around now?
