Are you an avid gamer? Think you can still recognize a video game even if their graphics have been reduced to their primary color schemes? Want to see something so stupid it’s fun? If you said yes to all three questions, here’s one more question: what game is this?

I swear when I saw that video I was insanely irritated; I couldn’t believe I spent 23 seconds of my life watching it. Then I watched it again. And again. I found myself shaking my head and smiling, then having mini-bursts of laughter. Stupid video. YouTube user gamecitynottingham (who’s promoting the UK-based GameCity Squared, which I think is kind of like a video game version of the TED Talks) reduced a couple more games to 15 pixels:

Can you believe that that was Parappa? Would you have recognized any of the games without the sound? That’s the fail right there. Stupid videos. Yeah let’s watch them again.

Noby Noby Hat (and Scarf!)

I’m not even gonna lie: the hat in this post is expensive. At $63, that hat should not only keep my head warm, but also style my hair for me, thus saving precious time in my morning routine. I’m pretty sure that’s not the case. Instead, this hat is imbued with the special power of making everyone within a two mile radius stare at you… but Noby Noby Boy fans tend to dig that sort of thing.

Noby Noby Boy, from the creator of Katamari Damacy, is a PSN game, and just in case you’ve forgotten what the hero looks like in non hat-and-scarf form, please allow me to remind you:

All things considered, that hat-and-scarf combo could have been a lot more embarrassing. As it is, it’s only embarrassingly adorable.

Castle Crashers on Its Way to PS3

The XBLA hit Castle Crashers is set to come to PS3, according to an announcement at Comic-Con. PS3 owners everywhere let out a roar of approval, while Xbox 360 owners stomped around and demanded Noby Noby Boy in exchange. Sadly, we they were ignored.

If you’re hoping for some sort of detailed information, such as when the game will be available on the PlayStation Network, well, keep hoping; nothing else was announced beyond the fact that the game is crossing platforms. Well, that and the fact that Castle Crashers seems to run just fine on the PS3. That’s certainly good news!

Noby Noby Boy: Even Weirder Than Katamari

Katamari Damacy is an undeniably awesome franchise, but it’s also a little on the weird side, so it’s not exactly surprising that Keita Takahashi’s next project is a little unusual. Noby Noby Boy puts the player into the shoes role of an unfortunately shaped something charged with eating and stretching your way through a minimalist world.

To what end do you roll and stretch? There’s no telling, but it looks like good destructive fun from this clip, so perhaps rolling and stretching is a purpose unto itself.

Oh, to live such a simple life.

Noby Noby Boy is currently set for release via the PlayStation Network early next year, and while it has not yet been priced for North America, the European download will drop at the ridiculously-low rate of 3.99€.
