Swingline Stack-and-Shred Shreds 100 Pages of TPS Reports, Staples and All

You have to be a real geek to get excited about a shredder. Back when I had a “real job,” I used to shred all sorts of stuff, not because it needed to be shredded, but just because I hated that place and imagining it was the bosses tie (still attached to his neck) getting chopped up made me feel better about working for such douchebags. I could shred a few paperclips and staples in that thing before it jammed and I had to sneak away.

Swingline has a new shredder called the Stack-and-Shred that will go perfectly with that red stapler and your TPS Reports. The thing has a top that opens and you can put 100 pages in the hopper to shred complete with staples and paperclips. It will also shred credit cards, but I wonder if CDs can be shredded.

It uses a crosscut confetti shred patter for security and the bin holds up to five gallons of paper and metal shards. I would really like to shred my wife’s credit card. I so need one of these. You can buy one for about $250 right now.

Level 5 Offices: Your Gaming Dollars at Work

Japan-based developer Level-5 has made some of the most loved video games in recent times – Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest 8 & 9 and the Professor Layton series to name a few. With such successful titles under their belt, Level 5 can afford to build fancy offices, some of which you can view at its website.

The rooms look too professional for my taste; I’m sure Spider-Man’s feeling mighty awkward in his room. If not for the monitors with the Level-5 logo on them, you’ll never guess that they’re video game offices. But if that’s what works for the people who work there, more power to them.

Again, you can view the rest of the pictures at Level 5′s website. I like the chair-less meeting room the best. It’s obviously a Japanese tradition, but I still can’t help but be surprised when I saw the room. I wonder what Atlus’ offices look like. I bet theirs is crazy.
