The guys over at GamoGo are being both too literal and too clever for their own good with this amusing accordion file that actually looks like an accordion. While it doesn’t actually play music when you squeeze it, I think it would be a great addition to your office if you happen to work in the music industry – especially if you’re an agent for a polka band. Or if you’re Weird Al Yankovic.

This Keyboard Stationery Set adds a few new tools to your desktop arsenal, including a mini-stapler (guaranteed to staple at least one sheet of paper together,) a hole punch (just need two more and they’ll actually be useful,) a brush (for getting Dorito crumbs out from your keys,) and magnetic storage for your paper clips (and erasing any credit cards or old floppies you have lying around.)

While three of the tools are appropriately labeled, the paper clip storage is quizzically identified as an “Enter” key, which should definitely keep things interesting if you place it in close proximity to your real keyboard.

The set is available in the familiar black or white keycap colors, but also an girly pink version too – presumably for those of you out there with Hello Kitty keyboards. You can find the black or white versions over at Kleargear for $11.95(USD), while PandaWill carries all three versions for just $8 – however, they will pick your color at random, so you may or may not end up with a pink one. Deadpool’s savagely scarred and punctured head is the latest accessory from Gentle Giant for your office supplies. I guess they are running out of ideas. Maybe next we will see a stabbed Spiderman head, no doubt the work of a disturbed Jonah Jameson, Editor of the Daily Bugle and all around hot-head. Really, this is the best they could do for Deadpool?

Well, Deadpool is always making more enemies, I suppose. I guess he finally ticked off the wrong guy. This is a great item for those who hate the character to have on their desk. Unfortunately for you, it won’t be available until September of next year for a rather nightmarish $88.99 (USD) over at Entertainment Earth.

This particular LEGO creation is an antique typewriter, loaded with nifty details, including letters on the keys (though I don’t know where you get LEGO letters.)

It was created by Matt Armstrong (aka “Monsterbrick”) as part of his Steampunk LEGO Inventions series, and it truly is an incredible bit of LEGO work. While I doubt that it actually functions, he sure did a good job making it look like it could actually type. Even if he did have the mechanism working, I’m pretty sure you can’t make a typewriter ribbon out of LEGO bricks.

Regardless of functionality, I really like the little touches like the octopus and tridents on the front. I guess it’s a nautically-themed typewriter. I like to imagine it as the keyboard that Jules Verne might have done his writing with this.

These Pencil Dice aren’t exactly the same, but I think they’re on the same wavelength as my friend’s line of thinking, don’t you think?

You won’t be able to use these when you’re dancing with Lady Luck in the casino, but what you can do is use these Pencil Dice to help you make decisions sometimes. You can even bring them during your big finals and give them a good throw down when you’re at a loss for answers.

Although I doubt you can bring these in during exams given by strict professors who won’t tolerate any rolling around during the test.

Which is why I think the Date Stapler is pretty much a godsend, although it’s still a concept design for now.

The Date Stapler is a design by Gonglue Jiang. As you can already tell from its name, the Date Stapler can staple your papers together and imprint the date beneath the stapler at the same time.

It’s perfect for forgetful people and those who have really bad handwriting. (I mean, how would you feel if you received a report with the date scribbled haphazardly in handwriting that resembles chicken scratches at the corner of the page? Not saying that my handwriting is anything like that, of course…)

Some cool additions to this design would be to have interchangeable cartridges so you can have it stamp on dates in various colors.

This beastly office supply firing weapon can hold over 100 rubber bands, and shoots them off as quickly as you can turn the crank. This definitely isn’t some cheap kids toy. Each one is made from solid billet aluminum and then powder-coated in either blue, black and red, or just natural metal.

The thing weighs in at a substantial 15 pounds once fully loaded with bands (which you can pick up at Wal-Mart or an office supply store), and it comes with a table-mount as well, for more stable aiming. It even comes with a built-in flashlight for evening rubber band firing missions.

So now the bad news. At $499 (USD), the rubber band Gatling gun will set you back a rather sizeable chunk of your paycheck. But if you’re serious about your office warfare, you definitely need to add this to your arsenal. You can order one over at Gadgets and Gear now. Since each one is custom built, you’ll need to allow a 2-week lead time if you want one of these bad boys.

Seriously, I could use those few items to craft weapons of mass annoyance. Throw in a sheet of paper and some bubblegum and I was a force to be reckoned with. These days I’m much more civil. This probably has something to do with my time being occupied with gadgets and such. Luckily this $5 Rubber Bandit pen is here to rekindle my love for flinging rubber bands.

This writing utensil works much like any other. Click the pen, and you can write. Click it again, and you can’t. However, if a rubber band is attached, one of those clicks will send the projectile towards your nearest co-worker. Of course, there’s just one question to be asked… how accurate is it?

Each roll of Invaders packing tape from A Brand Called Ed comes bedecked with images of your favorite pixelated aliens – as well as at least one invader I don’t recognize from the original Taito classic, that dude with the two feet that look like inverted “T”s. Do you remember that guy? I sure don’t.

Created in collaboration with Taito, these Star Wars Lightsaber Hiraku pens not only write, but they light up thanks to a colorful LED insider the “sword.” They’re working on four different models, including both Jedi and Imperial sabers to sign your contracts with. They look a little fat and stubby compared to a “real” lightsaber, but then again lightsabers aren’t really real, so I’ll forgive Taito and Lucas on this one.

You’ll have to wait until October 2010 to get yours, but NCSX is taking pre-orders now for $9.80 (USD) per sword.

The A Posture a weirdly-named stapler shaped like a high-heeled shoe. It sounds like something you’d find over at Deal Extreme but this one is surprisingly nice to look at. It’s cheap too – Urban Prefer is selling it for NT$ 280 (approx. $8 USD).

Obviously these are all conceptual images, but since quirky is already accepting pre-sales (pre-sales are different from pre-orders in that a set number of pre-sales must be reached before the product is actually manufactured), I’m pretty sure the real Cable Caps will be as creepy as these mock ups. Still can’t figure out how they’re used? Here, let “printer man” (Really? Printer man? It took a group of people to come up with that?) show you how.

See? Despite their deranged looks, the Cable Caps are pretty easy to use: just thread the USB’s head through the slot in the middle of the band, stick it into the head, and then wrap the rest of the band around the rest of the cable. There are six designs in all, none of them decent.

As I said, pre-sales are now being accepted at quirky. Cable Caps are sold in sets of three for $8 (USD) per set. They’re pretty useful, just don’t stare at them.

As you can see, the blade developed by Nichiban makes almost straight cuts because it is straight as well, with convex-shaped cutters that not only make for a safer tape dispenser but also one that requires less force to use. The new tape dispensers will be available in Japan later this month before inevitably taking over offices and desks worldwide. If you ask me I think they should make a third version which has removable/readjustable hour- and minute markers, so if your office or project hours are erratic or not the usual 9-6 you can adjust the clock accordingly. I may laugh now, but the next time I need to tape something down while simultaneously looking for a place to charge my iPod, I’m going to think of this thing. It’s perfect for people with small desks, or for people like me who just have a lot of stuff taking up all that pesky room on their desks. Also for people who like to collect unusual things, but that goes without saying.

The best part? It’s only $9. That’s not a bad price just for the four-slot USB hub, and as this thing is made to fit any ol’ standard roll of tape, you may never run out again… so long as you remember to refill it.
