Whether you’re a professional app developer who wants to sketch interface design ideas, or you just want a cool notepad on your desk, you’ll want to check out Notepods, clever pads of paper designed to look like an iPhone or iPod Touch.

Each Notepod is a pad of 100 pages of paper with a simulated iPhone screen on the front, and a handy grid of graph paper on the back. While a Notepod pad is a bit thicker than a real iPhone, it eventually gets super thin as you use up sheets.

They’re also perfect for going completely old school and cut out all technology from your life. Heck, you can even draw yourself a couple of paper fart apps if you want.

Notepods come in sets of 3 pads for $17.95 (USD) each, and are shipped from Australia – so they may take some time to get to you, depending on where you live. You can order a set here.

(P.S.: Notepods work great when combined with Design Commissions’ metal iPhone UI template).

Who says your mouse pad has to just help your mouse move smoothly across your desktop? These clever paper mouse pads help you keep track of everything from your daily to-do list to making note of your many moods.

The most practical of the bunch is the Information Central pad, which helps you track things to do, people to call/e-mail, and other miscellaneous to-dos.

A little more whimsical option is the Daily Mood Tracker mouse pad, which keeps your mood swings in check from day-to-day. Now you can finally figure out if you really are an A-hole on Mondays and everyone’s best bud on Fridays. I get bad memories just thinking about having to fill in all those standardized test-like bubbles – and I forgot my No. 2 pencil, so I can’t erase!

Last, but not least is the Random Dawdle, which gives you a place to scribble down miscellaneous ideas, websites, drawings and other random stuff. I’m not sure what the point of the dotted-outline letters are, but I figure that just contributes to the randomness.

All pads ship with 60 tear-off sheets, giving you about 2 months of everyday use before you need to invest in a new mouse pad. You can grab all three designs over at Perpetual Kid for $9.99 a pad.

The smartly designed Ratscar Deskpad eSporter XXL provides a huge work area which gives you usable space on both the left and right side of your keyboard. The XXL measures in at a whopping 35.4 x 17.7 inches, almost 10 times the size of a typical mouse pad. The pad has a high-precision cloth surface, along with a non-slip backing to keep it from sliding around your desk. It’s priced at €26,95 (about $40 USD).

Created by Flexiglow, the xRaider gaming mouse pad plug into your USB port and comes in red, green and blue varieties to suit your current mood. An etched plastic border produces a bright glow along edge around the pad, making it really jump off of your desk surface. A dimmer switch on the USB cable even lets you adjust the intensity of the light to your liking.

You can find the XRaider over on Amazon, with prices ranging from about $19 to $26 USD, depending on the seller. (Flexiglow also makes a color-changing model called the Fx Game Pad, but I don’t think it looks as nice).
