Xploderz Water Pellet Gun: Best of Both Worlds

While I don’t deny that paintball guns are fun, they can get quite messy which is why the Xploderz Water Pellet Guns look so cool. The ammo they shoot won’t make anyone too dirty, but you’ll get the same satisfaction as from paintball guns.

Theses water pellet guns from Xploderz use little non-toxic balls, that are made out of a super-absorbent polymer (composed of acrylic acid, sodium hydroxide, coloring, and water if you really wanted to know). You simply let the pellets soak in water for 4 hours and then you’re ready to go. This material was initially designed to help crops absorb and store water.

They can be fired to distances of up to 85 feet. The two models pictured in the photos are the sniper-like XRanger 2000 and the XStormer 1000, which will cost you $39.99 and $29.99 respectively over at Amazon. Ammo refill packs will cost you about $5.99. The pellets don’t hurt as much as paintball ammo (probably because Xploderz aren’t as powerful), so that can be good or bad, depending on your penchant for inflicting harm.

840-Barrel Paintball Gun Shoots Instant Art… or is Just the Ultimate Revenge Machine?

One time when I was in college, some friends and I went down the local paintball field to play a game. There wasn’t anyone else there so the owner of the field and his team offered to play against us. What we didn’t know was that these guys rented us the most pitiful guns they had, and then whipped out full-on automatic paintball guns. My buddy was shot in the balls SIX TIMES. We never went back.

I’ve always wanted some payback on those paramilitary paintballers, and this is just the contraption I need. This paintball gun has 840 barrels, and it can shoot them all in what amounts to one shot. Sure, the thing was meant to make some sort of art to promote an energy drink, but so what. I’d like to stand those paintball guys in front of it.

Then, I’d flip the switch, and watch them get nailed on every inch of their body, then reload and do it again. I think it would hurt pretty badly. Not as much as six shots to the scrotum, but I would feel better. Check out the video below to see my tool of revenge in action:

Paintball Robot Brings the Pain to the Paintball Arena

I still remember the first time that I went to play paintball. For some, playing with the paintball guns was just too much and they went kind of nutty. I especially liked the paintball grenades. Now, it looks like paintballers will have another option: the paintball robot.

This robot is radio-controlled and it will get stair-climbing wheels or tracks and a rotating turret. Now that will be a nice surprise for your friends the next time you play.

Chris also wants his creation to be able to move the barrel up and down, giving it the ability to actually fire on people, not other robots.

The project is currently behind funded via Kickstarter, so if you want one, give bulder iChris Rogers some dough and when the project is funded, then you can get one for yourself. There are various tiers of contribution, with a donation of $2100 (USD) or more resulting in you getting your very own paintball robot kit and assembly plans.

Wipeout Chalk Gun: Like Paintball, but Without the Paint

As much fun as a game of paintball can be, there’s nothing fun about trying to get all that paint out of your hair and off your skin. This fun shooter replaces the messy paint with chalk, making cleanup a bit easier – although god only knows what all that chalk dust will do for your lungs.

The Wipeout chalk dust pistol comes with special “chalk darts” which can fire up to 30 shots per cartridge. Keep in mind that the Wipeout uses a spring-loaded mechanism instead of air pressure and fires chalk-tipped soft foam projectiles – so don’t expect to shoot your victims from more than a few feet away.

That said, it’s definitely a better toy for tagging your cube-mates than for pwning your friends on the paintball field. Think NERF paintball.

You can grab a twin pack of Wipeout shooters, along with 6 colorful chalk darts, two pairs of goggles (so you won’t shoot your eye out, kid), and a practice target over on Amazon for $36.66 (USD). Refills will set you back about $8 bucks.

Some people go in for a regular ol’ security system, the kind with panels and codes and alarms. And you could do that, sure. Or, you could put together some real home security: a paintball turret.

It took two years to build this bad boy, and the finished product can fire up to 34 balls per second. Per second. Also? It’s portable. You can carry it in a backpack and wreak utter havoc. Or, just admire it on the Internet. That’s probably safer.

Remote-Controlled Paintball Turret is Ready for Action

Do you hate most of your neighbors like I do? I was hoping to get my hands on that paintball-firing robot so I could deal with them, but it turned out that was a one-of-a-kind deal. So it gave me a little thrill when I realized I could surround my property with an arsenal of remote-controlled paintball turrets to keep them at bay.

These wireless paintball turrets are just what the doctor ordered when it comes to taking out your aggressions from afar. The EMT Wireless Paintball Sentry Turret comes with everything you need to send paintball pellets flying while you sit safely in your living room (or behind a bunker). While it’s designed primarily for use by scenario-based paintball enthusiasts, I don’t see any reason you couldn’t put one in your cubicle at work.

The $1959 setup includes the paintball turret, a substantial tripod base, CO2 tanks, a color CCD camera with video transmitter and a wireless remote with a nice little 3.5-inch monitor (or a 7.5-inch upgrade pictured above) so you can aim at your unsuspecting victims. The controller’s joysticks pan and tilt the turret, and can fire up to 400 paintballs with the push of a button. The whole rig runs on rechargeable batteries and CO2, so you can use it anywhere (although there is a slight up-charge for weatherproofing).

Upgrades include a high resolution camera ($299), virtual big-screen goggles ($429), a 1000-ball hopper ($189) and other custom quoted options such as a night-vision scope, extended range transmitter and more.

Robot Armed With Paintball Gun Chases Down Victims

The only thing worse than taking a paintball pellet in your ass is when your return fire won’t end up inflicting the same pain on your opponent. That’s what you have to look forward to if you end up going toe-to-toe with this robotic foe.

Created by builder Che Edoga (aka “darkback2″), his wood and metal robot “Gepetto” can fire paintballs while it tools around via remote control.

While Gepetto was designed first and foremost as an artificially-intelligent mobile robotic platform, the paintball add-on turns it into a work of pure evil genius.

In addition to being able to carry a load, Gepetto has a built in video camera and screen for interacting with passersby (or maybe to remotely taunt its victims when in paintball mode).

Gepetto is actually strong enough to carry around a laptop on its back, and can manage driving on challenging surfaces thanks to independent wheel mechanisms that can travel as much as three inches in height. While the robot is strong enough to navigate on carpet or other uneven surfaces, it’s probably not going to climb hills any time soon.

Annoying Neighbors? Take ‘Em Out With This Paintball Tank

(Sub)urban warfare has a new face, and it goes by the name of Paintball Panzer. The pint-sized tank has a turret-mounted paintball gun which lets you fire rounds of paint ammo while keeping you safe and sound from the tomatoes and eggs which may be thrown at you in return.

The Funtrak Mini Paintball Tank is a scaled down version of a real tank, featuring a motorized drive system, and a tread drive that lets you maneuver through the roughest backyard obstacles. It’s got a built-in roll cage and engine firewall, and is actually certified for use on the road — in the UK, that is — I have a funny feeling that they wouldn’t let one of these on the street here in the States.

Just like the real world, phony weapons comes at a hefty price. The Paintball Panzer will set you back £8,000 (about $14,400 USD). Each tank is custom built, so you might have to wait up to three months to get yours.
