This weensy little computer is so small that you might accidentally misplace it if you’re not careful.
The oddly-named Marvell Sheevaplug (I think I went to college with him) is about the size of your average gadget’s power adapter, but it actually contains a complete computer (sans video output). The device has a 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB of flash memory and…

Gearfuse spotted this mind-blowingly detailed cake, featuring a budding Zerg base from the money printing military sci-fi RTS Starcraft. Everything you can expect from a Zerg base a minute into the game is there – mineral nodes,a gas geyser, a hatchery, drones, and a couple of larvae, all on top of a crunchy creep-like (we hope) crust. Yummy.
Blizzard should…

Some expert computer technician crazy person has managed to get Windows 7 to run on a ridiculously underpowered Pentium II PC. Why? I say, why not?
Amazingly enough, PC enthusiast Hackerman1 got his old 266 MHz Pentium II machine loaded up with Windows 7 Ultimate. The machine has a paltry 96MB of RAM, and a lowly 4MB graphic card, and…

Fairytale Fights will almost certainly be remembered. It’s all about using one fairy tale legend to beat up other fairy tale legends, in crazytown stages based on fairy tales, all while wielding the most ridiculous weapons imaginable. But will it be known as the point at which the hack-and-slash really jumped the hell out of that shark, or as one of…

Check out this clever casemod which combines the shell of an old SNES console with the brains of a modern PC.
Modders quangDX and DuPPs took an old Super Nintendo they had lying around, splayed open its guts and married it with the internals of an Acer Aspire One A150 laptop, then dubbed it the aaSNES1 (is that pronounced assness-one?).…

Modder/droog/man of the moment David Penfold aka Mremulator was inspired by an award-winning custom rig and decided to go totally bolshy yarblockos with his own build. First he picked orange and black for the colors of his SilverStone TJ07 computer case – which incidentally was the same model used in the custom pc that inspired himĀ – and came up…

Almost a week ago, Kotaku’s Brian Crecente wrote an article regarding the re-emergence of video game peripherals, spurred on by the success of Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and of course the Wii. In the article, Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter was quoted as saying, “I think the problem with all peripherals is that you have to make them reusable.…

What shape do you associate with style? Scimitar Computers claim that pyramids = hip & stylish, and so they’re claiming that their handmade pyramid-shaped computer cases are “the solution to the conundrum of how to be a computer nerd and hip and stylish at the same time.” I thought Apple’s already solving that problem. /runs

I’m torn. The opening cinematic from the upcoming PS3/360/PC version of the Ghostbusters game. The Ghostbusters themselves look pretty accurate. Waves of paranormal something exploding through the city? I’m down. But then I watch the people move, and a little piece of my childhood breaks off and floats away.
I think the unnatural movements in the footage are actually more pronounced…
