I have been a fan of Charlie Brown going back to my youth with the Peanuts Halloween and Christmas specials. I never really liked how Lucy and the other characters treated Charlie though, they were always so mean. The thing I always remember was that they called ol’ Chuck a “blockhead” frequently. I never really understood what sort of put down that was, I guess it’s from an earlier time and probably meant something then.

A LEGO builder named Mark Anderson has turned Chuck into a real blockhead with a cool line art project constructed using only LEGO blocks.

The parts he used are all little smooth-top bricks with black ones making up the character, and white squares in the background. I can only imagine the complexity of planning out this project since each of those black LEGO strips connects to a white square that has an attaching point at exactly the right location. Good grief!

He would’ve had to lay the whole thing out using those white squares alone before clicking the black pieces into place. The finished product looks just like Charlie Brown, don’t you think?

Peanuts fans, here’s a fun way to put a little tribute to Charles Schultz’ canine best friend on your desktop.

This Snoopy Flying Ace USB hub connects up to three of your USB devices while the battling beagle takes on the elusive Red Baron. And this isn’t just one of those boring inanimate USB hubs. When plugged in and switched on, Snoopy’s Sopwith Camel starts rocking back and forth, its propeller spinning in the breeze.

10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more… Now I can’t get that Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron song out of my head.

Click to View Embedded Video Clip

You can get the Snoopy USB hub over at Strapya World for ¥5,280 (appx. $56 USD). Be sure to check out Astronaut Snoopy while you’re there.
