As a guy who won’t wear pink and thinks bears are imagery best left to a football team the Cowboys hopefully destroy, I didn’t see the target market. I do now see the market, it’s guys unlucky enough to run across these with a female in the room who can make puppy dog eyes. I will end up having to buy these damn things. I really need a lock for the office door.

If you are being forced to buy your own set, or happen to be a 5-year-old looking for something to hook to your “big iPhone” these might do it for you too. The things can be pre-ordered for $68 and will ship on August 20. The bears each have their own speaker inside and ship with a black cable for plugging in your stuff.

This cheery pink digital camcorder is perfect for girls (and very confident men) who want to shoot video and are sick of the same old, same old. Just like the big boys, the pink HD cam can shoot 720p high-definition video at up to 30 fps in H.264 format. See, these girls are definitely stoked about those stats…

Flickr user 4apples posted pictures of this controller project, stating that he completed this (sans the LEDs that he’ll add later) as a gift for his girlfriend, who wanted a “special” controller. Congratulations, unnamed girl. Your man is thoughtful and talented.

But as impressive as the finished project is, I really like this picture of the painted pieces. So many of the custom paint jobs I’ve seen end up looking a little sloppy, or the paint just isn’t quite right. Here, you can really see how nice each individually painted piece looks.

I’ve seen mods for sale that don’t look this nice. Just sayin’.

And in fact, these new models will be available in Japan even before the DSi debuts in the rest of the world’s major gaming markets. Japanese gamers will be able to pick up colorful DSis on March 20, while we in the United States, as well as folks in Europe and Australia, have to wait until early April for a DSi at a non-import cost.

Of course, that early release may tempt some to import a pretty DSi rather than waiting a few more weeks to pick up a local model. Is the extra money worth a little lime green?

You be the judge, but I can’t imagine walking around listening to anything worse than a lumpy, Pepto Bismol pink cartoon mouse-shaped media player, let alone one that can only hold 1GB of songs, and has a headphone jack sticking into the top of its head, like some sort of lobotomy instrument.

And what kind of music would you store on this anyhow? I can only imagine listening to some horrible pap like the Jonas Brothers or Miley Cyrus on this, and would never defile the likes of Radiohead or The White Stripes with such an abysmal looking creation.

I guess if there’s one positive thing to say about this vehemently uglified thing is that it’s dirt cheap. You can get one for the low, low price of $13.13 (USD). So what are you waiting for? Throw that iPod Touch in the trash, and head on over to Chinavasion to order your new MP3 player.

Frankly the pink and grey version reminds me a bit too much of Good and Plenty. But the electric blue one is actually kind of cool looking, and I’d feel right at home playing a marathon session of Halo 3 on it. Other than the case color, both models are identical to the standard Xbox 360 wireless controllers. The new colors are available starting today for $49.99 each over on the Xbox website.
