Awesome Pirate Theme Home Theater Has Pirate Tavern and More

I like cool home theaters. The last time I mentioned a themed home theater it was Star Wars-themed and very cool. If you lean more towards the pirates of yore or Pirates of the Caribbean for your tastes in film than science fiction, this pirate-themed theater should suit your style. This theater has so many touches that it looks like a theme ride at Disneyland, not a theater for some rich movie buff’s home.

The images here are renders, but apparently, the theater is under construction in a home located in Palm Beach, Florida by the guys at Elite Home Theater Seating. This may well be the coolest home theater in history. The theater has a simulated ship deck for where the people sit to watch the films. The pirate tavern is a fully-functional snack area and all of the little touches are just awesome. I want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean in this theater.

Other than the design, which is very compelling, I would like to know what sort of home theater hardware will be used inside.

Hd3 Complication Black Pearl Watch for Very Successful Pirates

This mechanical marvel is not just one of the coolest looking analog watches I’ve seen in a long time, it manages to incorporate something that you don’t often find on a high-end watch – pirates! Arrrrrh!

The H3 Complication Black Pearl edition features an intricate design that lets you see all of the inner workings of the watch as the hours, minutes and days at sea pass you by. The vertically-oriented numbers on the left side may look like the wheel from TPIR’s Showcase Showdown to you, but it actually tells you the current hour. The wheel in the middle that looks like a ship’s engine control shows the minutes.

Designed by Fabrice Gonet, The Black Pearl integrates a number of subtle – and not so subtle – pirate touches, such as a tiny cannon hatch on the left side of the watch, with a skull and bones on it, an more obvious skull and navigational etching on the watch’s see through back.

Word on the street is that only 11 of these bad boys were made, and they sold for about $400,000 a piece. So if you want one of these, you’ll really have to act like a pirate and steal one from its owner.

Arrr, matey. September 19 be Talk Like a Pirate Day, and this year, it may also be known as Play Awesome Piratey Games Day. What’s a holiday for pirates without cheap or free pirates games, after all?

In celebration of everyone putting on weird pirate voices, LucasArts is dropping the price of the Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition on Steam and Direct2Drive to only $5, as well as cutting down the iPhone version’s price to just $4. Those special “holiday” prices last through the 21st. And with a special code from the Telltale Games website, you’ll be able to unlock the demo for Tales of Monkey Island and get the first season at a reduced price. It’s not free, of course, but it’s still full of piratey goodness.

Skull Speakers: How Jack Sparrow Listens to His iPod

Taking a page out of The Pirates of the Carribean, these speakers look like something you might find lying around in Davy Jones’ Locker at the bottom of the sea.

These skulls may look olde and crusty(e?), but they’re actually powered speakers you can hook up to your computer or media player. Adding to the eerie effect, they emit an ominous blue glow from inside their skull cavities when powered on.

So don’t be a landlubber, and get ye down to GeekStuff4U and pick up a pair. While you’re at it, be sure to pick up the matching webcam.
