I love how the guns’ barrel acts as its battery compartment. I don’t love the laser. It’s BRIGHT. Seriously you might want to wear goggles just for the video. You definitely should wear goggles when firing this pistol because it has a 1.5W blue laser, enough to instantly blind eyes and burn skin.

Priebe said he sold the unit shown in the video for €600 (~$790 USD), but he can also make a “slightly simpler version” for less. I wonder what he’ll make for $5. A drawing of the gun perhaps? If you have more money than I do, just drop him a line on YouTube or Facebook. Also give me some of your riches.

For being the world’s smallest .45 it is surprisingly affordable at just $500(USD) for the aluminum version and $700 for the titanium version. But are your hands small enough to use it effectively?

Meet the AF2011-A1 “Second Century” by Arsenal Firearms. It will put two holes in whatever you shoot. This double barrel pistol is pretty beautiful and twice as deadly as your old one shooter. Rest assured that whatever you shoot is going down quickly if it gets hit with two bullets instead of one.

The gun is made in Italy and while I doubt they will be widely available to everyone soon – it seems like they are trying to entice the military and law enforcement with these bad boys. This is awesome and scary at the same time.

It comes from papercraft artist Leo Firebrand and is a pretty damned accurate reproduction of the game’s small, but deadly Snub Pistol – especially given the fact that it’s made out of paper. It even has integrated LEDs which cast an appropriate blue glow.

Leo waited a while since his last project before making this one because he wanted to perfect his skills and do the gun justice. This project required many more layers than any build he has done previously, so it took a lot of planning as well. The finished product certainly shows that attention to detail and looks amazing. It sure looks like mission accomplished to me.

Made by Instructables contributor PDRWLSN, this flamethrower pistol looks like it could still do some pretty major damage, especially if you’re within a couple of feet of its flame-shooting barrel. He made it using various bits of copper tubing, plywood, some laser-cut acrylic parts, butane, and the pulse-ignitor from his gas grill to start the fire burning.

And while readers over on Make: have been quick to point out the dangers of spraying burning hydrocarbon into the atmosphere, you shouldn’t be playing with such a device if you’re not a little bit of a risk-taker.

Attributed to Freres Rochat, a 19th century Swiss workshop specializing in automata, these “Singing Bird Pistols” are not only extremely rare – they are feats of craftsmanship and engineering.

The pistols sold for $5,841,610 on May 30, 2011, a price tag that Christie’s claims is the “highest result for an individual lot sold at any watch auction in Asia”, although I’m not sure why the pistols were included in a watch auction.

While it’s form makes it pretty stealthy, the Maharaja borked his own stealthy design by engraving the words “Gun Shop Jodphur, 1948″ on the pen. Kind of a giveaway, don’t you think?

The golden plated pencil-pistol is just one of the many antique weapons that will be auctioned off on June 24 by Holt’s Auctioneers, and is expected to fetch between £700 to £900 (approx. $1,000 to $1,300 USD). The lot also includes the pen’s “its original red celluloid velvet lined display case with makers label, provision for ten rounds of ammunition, a cleaning rod” and papers that prove its heritage.

A 20th-century pistol shaped like a pencil that’s wrapped in gold made by a Maharaja and given to the last Viceroy of India for the price of a MacBook Pro? Now that’s a good deal.

An LED at the back of the pistol flashes green to signify that it is unlocked; the LED turns red when the arming signal is not detected.

The Armatix website describes a highly similar concept for a gun, but adds that not only will the gun be tied to a specific wristwatch, the wristwatch will be paired to a specific fingerprint as well. I’m not sure if the actual gun-watch combo has this functionality. A limited edition version of the high-tech pistol will be available starting next month for €7,000 (approx. $9,700 USD).

The gun-shaped CrossFire pistol is perfect for playing FPS and other games that require firearms. The controller seamlessly integrates all of the features of a standard Wii-mote (accelerometers, IR controller, speaker, rumble), and provides easy access to a D-Pad and 1/2 buttons on the back of the gun. The gun trigger acts as a “B” button while there’s a conveniently placed “A” button on the side of the gun. There’s also a hidden Nunchuck attachment port in the butt of the gun, but you can’t connect a MotionPlus add-on there.

Nintendo Life has a review of the CrossFire remote up on their site, and you can purchase the gun over at Amazon for $39.99 (USD), which is basically the price of a standalone Wii-mote. If you’re into FPS and other shooter games, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

The Wipeout chalk dust pistol comes with special “chalk darts” which can fire up to 30 shots per cartridge. Keep in mind that the Wipeout uses a spring-loaded mechanism instead of air pressure and fires chalk-tipped soft foam projectiles – so don’t expect to shoot your victims from more than a few feet away.

That said, it’s definitely a better toy for tagging your cube-mates than for pwning your friends on the paintball field. Think NERF paintball.
