The Great Gatsby isn’t just a famous novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, it’s also a NES game! Thanks to Charlie Hoey you can now play this retro game right on this website.

Charlie bought this game at a yard sale for 50 cents. After some TLC, it actually started working. It’s an unreleased version of the Japanese game called Doki Doki Toshokan: Gatsby no Monogatari. There isn’t much more to go on, but it was enough for Charlie to port it over into a Flash-based game that all can enjoy.

This definitely make me want to take out Contra or Shadow of the Ninja and play a few games. While it won’t help you write a book report for school, at least it’s a bit of fun.

You’ve probably got a bunch of peripherals that need to be plugged into USB ports. There are plenty of hubs out there, but until now, none of those hubs had enough ports for me. That’s until the 24-port USB hub came out.

OK, so maybe it’s a bit overkill for some users, but I just get plain annoyed when I have to plug and unplug peripherals from my USB ports. From printers, cameras, keyboards, to hard drives, almost everything that we have needs to be plugged into a USB port.

Of course, I might not use all of the ports, but I’m pretty sure I could find a use for them all over time. Still, it’s not for everyone. What do you think? Do you need 24 extra USB ports?

It’s available from USB Fever and will set you back $70 (USD).

If the Mac Mini’s 5 USB ports are still somehow not enough for your needs (and you don’t have one of these), then get one of these bad boys.

As you can see, you can connect this multi-ported monstrosity to 2 computers, but they can only access the hub one at a time. Since it’s so huge, it’s understandable that it needs to be plugged to work. You can order one (it’s a 16-in-1, really) at Geek Stuff 4 U for $105 USD. I heard that if you daisy chain these beasts, the explosion that ensues will create anti-matter.

This gadget reminds me of those toys that have colored blocks of wood connected by fabric straps, that can go either direction. You’ll get 4 USB 2.0 ports at your disposal, and can use it with a Mac or PC. I think it would make the perfect gift for all those fidgety peripheral-lovers in your life!

You can pick one up at Perpetual Kid for the $12.99- not bad for four ports and a cheap thrill!

The incorrectly named USB Robot 4-Port Hub has 4 twistable USB ports and no discernible robot parts whatsoever.

You can twist each port up to 270 degrees, although off the top of my head I can’t think of why I would need to do that. I mean, it’s pretty cool and all, and it’s a fun way to anthropomorphize your USB action, but I’m not sure if it’s strictly necessary in terms of functionality. The hub folds up into a nice, neat square when not in twist mode, sort of like a super lame Transformer (Nightbeat, anyone?)

Also, it seems unnecessarily HUGE. You can get one here for $12.
