Frankly, I think we’ve got enough problems worrying about people bumping into you on the sidewalk while they’ve got their heads bent down texting and surfing the web. If that wasn’t bad enough, now you could run into someone because the entire world is upside-down for them.

These goofy-looking goggles let you view the world upside-down. Each lens in the Reversing Goggles has a prism mounted on the end, creating a flipped view of the world in front of you. I guess the idea behind these things is to show you what images would look like if our brains didn’t figure out the backwards and upside-down images that actually fall on our retinas. They can also reverse left and right by turning the prisms 90 degrees.

Apparently, a scientist back in the 1890s attempted to wear a similar contraption for 4 days straight, and figured out that his brain eventually compensated for things and sorted the world out once again. I don’t recommend that you try the same. And no matter how much you’re tempted, don’t try and wear these while driving, skateboarding or riding a bike. But if you want to see what it might be like to do an all-day handstand, you can grab a pair of the Reversing Goggles over at Grand Illusions for £55 (~$87 USD).

While you could make a customizable pixel wall out of a bunch of iPhones, I kind of like the simplicity of this analog pixel wall.

Designer Amirkhan Abdurakhmanov (aka “Amirko“) created the concept for Change It!, an simple, ingenious way to create any design you want on your wall. You can arrange the pixel blocks to form fields of color, rainbows, patterns, and even your favorite video game characters if you want.

The Change It! wall system would be created from a series of prisms attached through rods, which could then be adjusted to a variety of angles to produce unique colors. Now I’m not sure exactly how the angled prisms could produce the sort of pure colors shown in thes conceptual designs, but it sure looks cool.

There’s no word on if or when the Change It! wall will ever be produced, so for now you’ll just have to build yourself that iPhone wall afterall.

Do you like rainbows (and ponies and lollipops too)? Now you can bring them inside your house (just the rainbows, not the ponies or lollipops, unless you have some Dum Dums or Chupa Chups lying around) with this relaxing indoor rainbow generator.

The Rainbow Stone (which looks more like a clam than a stone to me) uses a set of colored LEDs which are bounced off of a curved mirror to produce an ever-changing rainbow of <strike>fruit flavors</strike> colors. As is almost always the case with these type of gadgets, the effect works best in a totally darkened room.

Available from Korea’s Gadget8, the Rainbow Stone is currently on sale for KRW 35,000 (about $38 USD.)
