Papa John’S and Playstation 3, Because No One Wants to Get Off the Couch to Order Pizza

Who wants to stop playing long enough to pick up their mobile phone? Or worse–the horror–what if you have to get up? What a world this must be, if we have to get off the sofa just to order pizza. Well, folks, no longer are we reduced to such barbaric circumstances… at least, not if you own a PlayStation 3.

At least until September 27th, PS3 owners will be able to order Papa John’s pizza without having to do anything complicated, like move, or even navigate all the way to the PS3 browser. Web browsers and typing… that’s all for the plebeians.

Of course, this special promotion only means that a button has been added to to the system browser. At any time, PS3 owners are free to open up the browser and order anything from pizza to delivery Chinese… but it takes so much effort. What if I only want to move my thumb a few times?

If you, too, have a heavy thumb, opt in for the pizza deals before the 27th. You might even get that free Cinnapie, which will certainly help invigorate your mind and body.

A Couple of Lucky People Will Nab These Custom Beatles Xbox 360s [Beatles Rock Band]

…and you will probably not be one of them, unless you are rich (or lucky… or, okay, rich).

How does $3500 sound for the price of a swanky 360? Sure, it’s a little high (and will probably go higher), but just look! If you feel like dropping thousands of bones on Ebay, you might be able to nab the above Xbox! If, however, you don’t have several hundred dollars to blow on a console, you can take your chances in the drawing for the other rare ‘box. All you have to do is download “All You Need is Love” for the Beatles Rock Band game and you’ll be entered!

Or you can wait until after the drawing’s over, and check to see if the drawing-console turns up on Ebay. It probably will.

All of the proceeds from the promotion are being donated to Doctors Without Borders, so at least it’s all for a good cause.

Yo, Joe! Virus Prevention is Half the Battle

This has to be one of the weirdest movie and franchise tie-ins ever: just in time for the live action movie, there’s a G.I. Joe-themed version of Norton Antivirus, complete with its own website.

It seems like the kind of thing that would be fanart, or the product of a Photoshop contest, not a real tie-in, and yet there it is, with a website and all. Operation Norton.

Shouldn’t these guys have something better to do than defending your music files? Or is the team just so badass that they can protect your PC in their spare time?

Sonic the Hedgehog is a Little Slower in France

Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega’s longtime blue mascot, is a bonafide icon, representing speed (and poor choice in friends). So, clearly, if you want to associate Sonic with a car, you’d choose… a Smart car.

Yep, there’s just something about those tiny, efficient vehicles that–no, you know what? There’s no reason to associate this Smart car with Sonic the Hedgehog other than the fact that the car has a Sonic wrap.

But maybe that’s the genius of Sega of France at work. Pair two seemingly unrelated things until we’re all talking about Sonic Unleashed. Damn! It’s working.

Halo 3 Free – Bungie Leaks Deal for New 360 Owners

Earlier today, a post popped up on the Bungie.net website revealing a special deal for new Xbox 360 buyers who upgrade from an original Xbox. According to the post (which has since been removed for some reason), if you buy an Xbox 360 this holiday season, you’ll be able to grab a free copy of their hit game, Halo 3.

Later in the day, Microsoft’s posted this Buy Xbox 360, Get Halo 3 promotional page, clarifying the offer. The offer won’t apply to all new 360 buyers — just those who are already are Xbox LIVE subscribers with an original Xbox (and who happen to live in the United States). So it sounds like they’re just trying to incent original Xbox owners to upgrade to a 360 this holiday season.

To redeem the offer, here’s what you need to do:

Buy an Xbox 360 console between November 21 and December 21, 2007.
Convert your current paid Xbox LIVE account to an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.
Register here between November 21 and December 21, 2007 with promotional code XBX7777, with your new console serial number, and a valid mailing address.
Look for your copy of Halo 3 in your mailbox!

So if you still haven’t made the jump from last gen to this gen, there’s no better time than the present.
