Take a hint from this guy. Filmmaker Walt Thompson from Fire Pit Pictures knows how to make a woman say “yes.” He went well beyond the call of duty and makes the rest of us look bad.

Walt spent several days piecing together an amazing stop-motion animated film using just LEGO pieces. The whole video tells the story of Walter and his fiance Nealey, chronicling their courtship. Not that they are actual LEGO minifigs, mind you.

I’m not sure if their courtship involved Star Wars characters or not, but they also appear in the video. It’s enough to make you all teary eyed and blubbery. Best of luck to this couple, and may they live happily ever after in LEGOland.

Well, you can have your cake and eat it too, thanks to this tale of a guy and his very special Portal 2 proposal.

A guy named Gary Hudston wanted to do something very special to ask his girlfriend, Stephanie, for her hand in marriage. Instead of doing the “on bended knee” thing, he got creative. He sought out a game level designer to help him put together a wedding proposal, buried deep inside a set of custom Portal 2 puzzles.

What he got was much more than he could have imagined. Thanks to the talents of Douglas “TopHATTwaffle” Hoogland and Rachel “Miss Stabby” van der Meer, he ended up not only with an awesome proposal for his soon-to-be fiance, but some equivalently awesome and dastardly Portal 2 gameplay. The entire thing is captured in this video clip:

Wasn’t that amazing? I can’t believe they even got Ellen McClain to do the voice of GLaDoS. Although, now I want to marry GLaDoS. If you want to try the levels out for yourself, you can download them here.

Stephanie, you have to marry Gary. You’d be a fool not to. That is, assuming you managed to get through all of the levels to the proposal stage.

One frisky young zombie hunter, who wanted to be joined with his slaughterin’ buddy for all time, decided to propose via a blog post about the couples’s favorite zombie-killing game: Left 4 Dead. The post was all about the game’s excellent setting and ambience, particularly in the safe rooms where survivors hide and restock. The rooms are covered in messages: declarations of hopelessness, pleas for help, and notes to loved ones. It didn’t take much to add something to one of the screencaps…. something like a marriage proposal.

I can only guess that he plays as Francis, while his lady plays as Zoey. The couple that slays zombies together stays together!
